I’m starting this thread early because I had to use that title. The promos that are being run on Fox about once every five minutes make this episode look really good.
Those poor TV doctors…They can never just take a vacation where things work out nicely, no flight problems, no germs…
Looking forward to it!
“I’m tired of all these mother f*ing Houses on this motherfuing plane!”
It had to be said, much like that title had to be used.
I’m curious to see why he and Cuddy are on the plane. I thought he was supposed to go on vacation alone.
Thread title made me think about all those movies that came out after Die Hard that people summed up in Die Hard terms:
Passenger 57: Die Hard on a plane!
Under Siege: Die Hard on a boat!
Die Hard 2: Die Hard without the plot and the interesting villain!
The ending montage of the last episode would indicate that this episode takes place months later. So, presumably this is not about the vacation trip. (and he also tore up the tickets that Cuddy gave him…which IMHO, means he canceled plans to go anywhere).
:smack: Thanks for the reminders.
I don’t know, but I would pay good money to see some HOT Cuddy on House action on PayPerView.
I’d like to see some hot Cuddy on Cuddy action. What do I need House for? :dubious:
Speaking of hot, I was pleased to see Dr. Chase in a BBC murder mystery that I rented last weekend, “Death in Holy Orders”. Jesse Spencer plays a disturbed young man who aspires to become an Anglican priest (and who takes a couple of naked dips in the ocean). It was neat, considering that Chase dropped out of seminary to become a doctor.
This episode would be “Cough Hard.”
I thought it was going to be a discussion of that Friends’ episode where Hugh Laurie was stuck next to Jennifer Aniston (sp). That scene could have been an audition for House.
House: You’d better tell the Captain we’ve got to land as soon as we can. This woman has to be gotten to a hospital.
Flight attendant: A hospital? What is it?**
House**: It’s a big building with patients, but that’s not important right now.
I love the tainted fish theory House advances early in the episode. I really hope it was an intentional nod to Airplane.
Lots of things to like in this episode, a couple things left me scratching…
Wilson’s patient… supposed to be in a coma, got an LP, decided she needed brain surgery, but looks at the person when shes being put under?
Passengers, especially the blond girl… a ‘generic’ rash I understand, but for her to imagine up the specific looking rash needed to throw the further panic?
Wilson: I’m actually starting to feel sorry for House…
Yeah, the mass hysteria causing the exact same symptoms, even ones the hysterics couldn’t have known about, stretched plausibility a bit.
Still it was entertaining.
House to me never is about plausibility. It’s more about storytelling. The more bizarre the ailment, the more Foreman, Chase, and Cameron disagree, the more they call out House on his behavior, the better. I like this show for all the interpersonal dynamics. And also because House makes John Becker look like Dr. Suess.
“Monkey see, monkey barf.”
“If she doesn’t shut up, I’m gonna kill her.”
Very entertaining stuff. But please tell me House didn’t really try to sniff Cuddy’s…you know.
Korean Full of Grace. Well, not quite. Can people really get a rash from the bends?
Man, what a beeyotch Cameron was at the end.
According to the Wikipedia artical on Decompression Sickness (underlining mine):
Enjoyed the panel he initiated on the plane. “You agree with everything. You disagree with everything. And, you, are morally outraged at everything.” Cuddy, “Is this really helping?”
Boy did that patient have a blow out party in Caracas or what? “Do you think any of that has something to do with my being sick?” Wilson (look of incredulity) “It’s possible.” Is there anything she didn’t try? Then hiring a female hooker of an around the world! She really didn’t want that party to end.
Speaking of parties, think the writers are going to play out the interest Wilson has in sexy hooker? Boy wouldn’t House have a ball with that one? And I agree that Cameron was just plain mean at the end.
