I’m surprised the number’s that low.
[Grouchy Old Man] In my day, we didn’t have porn at our fingertips 24 hours a day! We had to wait until we went to the doctor’s office and could steal the National Geographic and we liked it! [/GOM]

I can’t prove it, but 6 out of 10 of those kids are damn liars.
ParentalAdvisory is indeed corrent.
Look what you’ve done Tuckerfan. One post in and there’s already a ParentalAdvisory. Now the children will get carded when they try to enter the thread. For shame.
Corrent! Ab-so-lute-ly corrent!
Your dad was way more cautious then mine was then. Since I was about 10 (1984) I had all the porn, magazines or videos, I could ever want. I’d swipe em and return it later. My dad knew since he occasionally swiped stuff back. I took 'em to school, boy scout camp. Never had to worry about backpack searches back then.
Good times.
Last I heard, my dad had never even looked at a porn mag! (I know he certainly never had anything I could find.)
My dad was able to look at porn, but it was to be looked at up hill, both ways.
What’s wrong with the other 6 kids? Are they developmentally challenged?
In a related survey, 6 out of 10 children said they misheard the original question.
I bet that parents would be suprised at the response a child would give if asked if they ever saw mommy or daddy naked. Parents might forget that the robe fell open one day making breakfast, or the kid walked in on a showering parent. Now add a zero tolerence policy, and one of the parents are locked up for 20 years.
We didn’t even get internet until I was in about 7th grade, so I wouldn’t have seen online porn before then. I had definitely seen hard(heh)-copy porn before then.
I would most assuredly be one of the 34% of the 42% in the survey who had done it on purpose, though. :o
So what?
Kids have had access to ‘forbidden’ material for thousands of years, and managed to grow up all right. Heck, until a couple hundred years ago, kids generally slept in the same room as their parents, and were able to see in-person, live-action sex as it happened! Didn’t seem to cause any major problems.
One of the annoyances of the increased leisure time of modern society is it allows some people to go all crazy about things like this.
Yeah right. And I was just holding it for a friend, man.
Wait, is it against the law for your kid to see you naked?? Not in a sexual situation or anything, but like coming in to ask a question while you are getting dressed, or in the bath, or whatever?
The way things are going in this country I expect one of the extremist groups will latch onto this. They just haven’t yet. The turn this country has taken since the millinium is depressing.
Geeze, if this were the case, my dad would be a Level 3 felon. That man walked around without clothes more often than not!
Yeah at our house, both when I was still married and now, nudity hasn’t been a big deal. I don’t typically wander around the house naked, but if I happen to be naked and I need a glass of water or something, I don’t get dressed to go get it, nor do I bother with a robe unless it’s cold.
A series of tubes, indeed…
My dad had a small stash of porn mags, but I didn’t know about them until after he died and we were cleaning out his apartment. So his seventeen-year-old daughter – me! – finds them. There were some things I really didn’t need to know about him!
And as for internet porn, really, who hasn’t seen it? No big deal.
