43 monkeys escape from research facility in South Carolina because, why not?

Parthenogenesis for the win!

Or mpox!

I just Googled this story to find a suitable link to post on another website, and the first one said “43 monkeys escape on X.”

Read into that whatever you want!

How much does a male monkey cost? Asking for a friend.

Yeah, I thought of that one. I think of that one a lot.

On this point, I have good news and bad news.

The good news is that none of them have Ebola or Marburg.

“Pretty women out walking with gorillas down my street…”

I think harsh winters would be a problem for them in South Carolina, but there are several Caribbean islands with stable monkey populations due to escaped/released animals.

They’re rhesus macaques, they can live most places humans can.

But did a quick search and it turns out SC already has a feral population! Morgan Island

No problem. We simply unleash wave after wave of Chinese needle snakes. They’ll wipe out the monkeys.

See the second two links in post number 47.

$20, same as in town

As Howard Cosell might have said, “Those little monkeys got loose!”

One was found within a matter of hours, and 24 more were located and brought back to the facility.

That should not go unacknowledged.

Loved that album. This was truly Your Turn To Shine

Not my circus… :upside_down_face:

Yes! I teach middle schoolers and always the drama. So much drama. I will sometimes say to them, that’s not my (or your) circus, not my (or your) monkeys. They laugh but they get the point.

South Carolina continues to fall short in animal containment methods:

They were infected with the Rage virus. 28 days Later none of this will exist.

Two wallabies escaping from a petting zoo sounds like the plot of a Pixar movie.
