Thomas Magnum, the famous TV detective played by Tom Selleck, was famous for a few things: his mustache, Hawaiian shirt, his Ferrari, and his love for the Detroit Tigers.
A group of 45 men dressed up as Magnum and attending a bachelor party was ejected from the Tigers-White Sox game at Comerica Park on Saturday for what the team called “inappropriate behavior,” including such things as catcalling and smoking in the stadium, although the groom-to-be thinks it was because the group was a distraction.
According to the Tigers:
What would Higgins say?
Probably sic the lads on 'em.
Did they ride there in a red stretch Ferrari?
Love it.
My friend and co-coach’s brother is one of them! She’s been posting pictures on facebook and so forth.
He didn’t think any of his group were cat-calling or being rude.
The internet needs to double down on that shit and put the word out that EVERYONE show up for the next game dressed as Magnum, P.I… That would crack me right the fuck up to see a whole stadium full of vintage 1980s-era Tom Sellecks. Not quite Ernest Borgnines, but it would still be fucking awesome!
Maybe next time they all could show up as Lance White.
I don’t pay attention to sports these days, but I would go to a game just to see that.
I was just thinking I should set my watch to go off every hour to remind me how precious time is.
45 dudes kicked out of a Detroit game. What, half the crowd?
Nope, that’d be Oakland. Or maybe Tampa Bay. Despite being lousy this year, the Tigers actually draw pretty well.
Lance is perfect. It’s his only flaw.
A 45 guy bachelor party? That sounds like a nightmare to coordinate, let alone the people around you.
The only thing worse is if it were a bachelorette party.
Who the frak tucks in a Hawaiian shirt? Plus Magnum always wore very short 80’s style shorts. I didn’t see anyone wearing that. That’s probably why the group got kicked out.
