Hope they get a chance to tell the big guy “alluh Aaaack-bar” (sic) on behalf of muslame’ers everywhere.
Glad to see that attacking convoys in Iraq just got a whole lot more hazardous to the health of these losers who are fighting not an agressor but a chance for Iraq to stabilize and get on with its post-Saddam era. They had seemingly been attacking with near impunity up until this big operation blew up in their faces.
I’m surprised to hear that they had mounted such a large, concentrated attack, especially given the one-sided ass-whoopin’ they experienced whenever they meet US forces en masse during the more “active” phase of the actual war. Hit-and-run operations like hiding remotely-detonated roadside explosives was at least “working” for them, albeit in a limited, tactical manner.
Why the change in tactics? Is it a sign that they’re getting a little bit impatient with the little nickel-and-dime operations and wanted to try to “hit a home run?” Are they getting overconfident? (reportedly going back “into uniform”, at least for some of Saddam’s old goon squad?) Is it a sign of increasing desperation? Maybe they really thought a couple of roadside ambushes would send the Yankee imperialist dogs running back home-- and now it’s dawning on them that it ain’t gonna play out that way?
Whatever the reason, here’s hoping they continue to play to our strengths and their weaknesses. Mounting large-scale attacks against our troops is the quickest ticket to allah in Iraq-- and I’m sure the Army will send as many of 'em as want to go.
From the Iraqi Straight Dope:
*Hope they get a chance to tell the big guy “Praise Jebus” (sic) on behalf of US’ers everywhere.
Glad to see that those silly American flying helicopters in Iraq just got a whole lot more hazardous to the health of these losers who are occupying our country and stealing our oil. They had seemingly been wandering around with near impunity up until those Blackhawk choppers blew up in their faces.
Whatever the reason for their refusal to leave, here’s hoping they continue to play to our strengths and their weaknesses. Wandering around our neighborhoods like imperial donkeys is the quickest ticket to Jebus in Iraq-- and I’m sure our Freedom Fighters will send as many of 'em as want to go.

It can only stay in GD if it’s a biased diatribe against the mean old Americans.
I’d certainly be interested in hearing why in the fuck this had to be moved, especially vis-a-vis any number of “debates” which pose an OP not much more fully articulated than “Why does the US suck?”, “Bush-- is this tool for real?”, “How many civilians will be murdered in the next liberation?”, or the like.
I asked legitimate questions about the implications of this large-scale ambush that was far out of character of recent “resistance” efforts in Iraq-- barely worthy of the BBQ pit, my ass.
Other than the mangling of the phrase-of-the-day terrorists like to have on their lips as they’re blowing up the latest round of innocents (and, forgive me deeply for not giving that its due respect  ) there is nothing in there that isn’t at LEAST the flip side of any number of vitriolic Bush-bashing, America sucks sentiments that pass unimpeded in GD every god-damned day.
Just to see if I have this straight-- do I have to tip-toe around the delicate sensiblities of those who (openly) align themselves with Iraqi terrorists, on the same board filled with unrepentant, hate-filled, irrational cheap shots taken at the other side of that spectrum?
If the OP had stated “46 brave freedom fighters pay the ultimate price trying to repel Yankee oil-grubbing imperialist pigdogs” it would have stayed put and become the predictable pile-on of America-bashers.
Oh well-- if this is going to be the standard, I’ll keep an eye out for similar offenses, and dutifully report them. I am of course assuming that even the slightest intention to apply the standard evenly and fairly across all viewpoints exists…doubtlessly in vain.
The fact that you so readily assosciate Islam with people that served what might have been the most secularized regime in the entire middle east demonstrates you’re ignorance.
Perhaps you should have paused for a second to think that it was possible that some of the 46 individuals who died possibly were not involved in the attack.
Al Jazeera, IMHO, a relatively unbiased source of news is reporting that at several civilians were killed in the conflict. Go ahead and celebrate.
The annoying fact that our allies in Iraq are Moslem? And that they too are “musleme’ers”, therefore?
The open religious bigotry?
I’d rather it be them than us too, and I’ve argued over and over that security is the first thing that has to be put in place over there before anything else, but what effect, exactly, do you think your rant would have if a Moslem were to read it? And exactly how are we supposed to cooperate with the Iraqis on our side if they get the idea we think of them in this way?
tee hee.
When I said “this oughta be good,” I wasn’t thinking it would get this good, this quick, but that is absolutely priceless. I meant the explanation for the thread move would be good… but it’s not gonna top THAT gem above, guaranteed.
Let us assume for the moment that I suffer from the exact problem as aldebaran– the curse of exceedingly selective dyslexia.
I would think it fair that I could use the much easier “muslame’er” than
m u s l…i m (dang-- that was hard to type; took nearly 10 minutes)
in much the same way that he fondly defers to the nonsensical “USers” rather than “Americans.” Fair is fair, of course.
I think that if “we” (collectively, as a discussion board, and the moderators in particular) can “buy” his reasoning for using US’er (despite frequent and numerous objections from those who find it offensive, myself among them) it follows logically that muslame’er passes that same test.
Can anyone empiracally prove that m u s l i m (again, the herculean effort) is any easier for me to type than “American” is for alde? Anyone? Does it not follow logically that if he is able to post long, rambling missives (in pretty good English by any standard-- including native speakers) but magically chokes on the “a” word-- and ONLY that word-- that I have some similar hang-up with the “m” word?
Ahh, but I can already hear the cynical among you, suspecting that there could be a little whiff of bullshit in that scenario. (Although, oddly, alde sneaks it past you without a second glance.)
Good for the goose, good for the gander, I suppose…
If the OP was called:
X number of ‘merican “liberators” go to meet jesus!
And in it the poster stated:
Golly, I hope they had time to say a few “our fadder’s” (sic) before they met the big guy on behalf of christien’ers (sic) everywhere!
I’d rather expect it to be moved to the pit, if not deleted.
What have we here? Ah yes, yet another brave American armchair warrior. Wonder what the patent for “rabid xenophobic clones” goes for these days? Any idea, milroyj?
Must say, the user names alone are just brilliant; not to mention the epitomy of discretion. DaisyCutter, ammo52, can BringThemOn! be far behind?
Driving the imperialist war criminals from the Homeland likely creates a bloodbath on a grand scale which would dwarf the present skirmishes. Saddam would attempt to torture then kill everyone that hadn’t resisted hard enough. The civil war would probably start soon thereafter.
OTOH, this can’t end soon enough. Cheerleading casualties under any circumstances, ugly.
Is it just my paranoid imagination or has there been a sudden insurge of nasty little wing-nut newbies crawling out of the woodwork? Is this a Sending? If we sacrifice milroyj to the Goddess, will they go away? And would it be worth it anyway, even if it doesn’t work?
