What precisely do you think Hillary will do that is worth normalizing bigotry against Muslims and Latino immigrants?Exactly how different are Clinton’s positions from these dozen or so Democrats that she must be stopped while these others would earn your vote?
Not for Michael Moore.
I think Moore would likely achieve his first erection since Suzanne Somers’s Thighmaster infomercials went off the air if Trump won.
I live and work in the NY metro and have come across far more people than I expected who will vote for Trump, which is somewhat disturbing. There are a variety of reasons that range from “Hillary is a criminal” and “Trump knows how to run things” to “Hillary is boring and Trump will always have hot women around and make funny comments, plus won’t really do any of the things he talks about anyway.” It’s our reality tv culture coming back to bite us. Can’t wait for the “Team Putin vs. Team Trump” season of Survivor.
Point 1 is interesting.
People said the same thing about point 2 in 2008, but Obama won 70 million votes.
I live in Texas and have yet to encounter visible Trump support; yet I saw Trump posters/signs in Massachusetts. Weird.
Everyone should read Sinclair Lewis’ “It Can’t Happen Here”.
I know several people who have been poll workers, and they have said that they don’t think Trump will win because so many of his supporters probably aren’t intelligent enough to know how the voting process works - that you have to register, etc.
I live in Iowa and have seen ONE Trump “sign”, and that was a car magnet.
I have a “Bernie 2016” sign in the back window of my car that I nabbed at the caucus, as well as a “Feel The Bern” t-shirt, and have yet to receive any negative feed back for either.

This. It’s like Team USA in Olympic basketball; “Oh, we have to respect our opponents; Spain and Argentina are good, France is talented…”…yeah right. Everyone knows USA will win gold.
There’s a Gurdwara (Sikh temple) around the corner from me. They had an open house a couple years ago, after that man broke into the one in Milwaukee and shot a bunch of them because he thought they were Muslim.
I finally got a pro-Trump Facebook post a couple days ago, and without giving away details that could potentially identify the person, it didn’t surprise me. I think it’s one of those He’s Not A Democrat things. :dubious:
The thing that frightens me is that Trump has already beaten the odds in so many ways that I am afraid that Moore might be right.
How can anyone believe a word Trump says? He stiffs his contractors, stiffs the people who invested in him (four bankrupties) and generally cares only about Trump. Like he gives a shit about those angry white men?
Ya know, when I brought up Lewis’ book last autumn, people were all “naw, just a book; this is real life” and concerns raised in a thread about a relevant Cracked.com article were routinely (and nearly unanimously) dismissed.
Not available on Project Gutenberg…but available on Project Gutenberg, Australia.
“Australia, Australia, Australia, Australia, We love you, amen, hcht-too.”
I’ve been to Michael Moore’s hometown. Trump could win there, but Davison, Michigan is not the totality of America.
What did Moore say about Romney in 2012? Did he hedge his bets the same way?
Thought is was “Regrexit”.
Duddint matter. It’s just silly neo-logisms anyway. I’m waiting for the lemmings to figure out how to add “-gate” to it somehow.
"Moore said he believes that if the election were conducted “American Idol”-style, and Americans were able to vote from their couches, Obama “would win hands down.”
“That’s not what’s gonna happen,” he told Zepps. “This election’s going to be decided on who gets out the most people that day. Who’s up at four in the morning, making sure that dozens, hundreds, thousands of people in their communities are getting out to vote. And the Republican machine that is set up and the money behind it to guarantee [what] is really the only important thing — turnout on that day — that’s what looks pretty scary here.”"
It was 51.1% vs 47.2% so I think that’s pretty close.
