6 freaking inches!!!!

It snowed last night. 6 inches of snow on my mailbox. It is still snowing…big flakes.

No, you don’t understand. I live at 2600 ft. In Southern California. This city has never gotten more than 1/4 inch of snow at one time in living memory. And there is 6 freaking inches of snow in my driveway!!! And it’s still snowing!!!

Global warming my ass!

Relax! Snow is good for you, especially since your location means it will be gone almost immediately. Put on some warm clothes (waterproof boots and jacket would be good), build a snowman, throw some snowballs, have fun with it! Take some pictures too, and post a link!

Happy Snowday!

89°F today :stuck_out_tongue: What’s this snow thing?

Hell, up in the SF Bay Area it’s like living in a wind tunnel. We’ve had winds in the 35-45 MPH range since yesterday afternoon.

I think a lot of girls are just fine with 6 inches.

What are these boots and jackets of which you speak?

One common misconception about global warming is that everywhere will get warmer. In fact, the atmosphere will have more energy so expect more variation in weather. I.e., this shouldn’t surprise you at all.

That’s why us dopers in the know call it Global Climate Change. Buy into it now?

Oh, well. It makes the wife feel all warm and snuggly, so it isn’t all bad. Reminds her of Boston. But I left Alaska vowing to never live anywhere it snows. :frowning:

It was fun smacking her with a snowball as a wake-up call this morning!

It’s official. Married people are weird.

Six inches makes your wife all warm and snuggly?

There’s a joke in there somewhere but I’m drawing a blank.

Unless it means doing twice a guy “gifted” with only three inches.

[Eric Cartman] I hate so very much [/Eric Cartman]

Okay I scanned MPSIMS for snow topics, I thought 6 freaking inches was TMI thing. :wally
Here are some pics taken today.

I’m so not clicking on that.

Yeah, I misunderstood the topic too. :smack:

Can frogs and locusts be far behind?

Get some grits to put under your tires.

As of 10:40pm, 7 inches on the ground (4 inches on the streets) and it is still snowing. Work is looking less likely tomorrow. Snow advisory until 3:30am later tonight. Unreal.

We didn’t get over 83 F yesterday, thankfully. We’re supposed to cool down to the 70s in time for Thanksgiving. Which totally ruins my beach plans.

No, eat the grits with some salt and chain your tires.

Or live it up in your snowday, ya ex-Alaskan you! You’ll never escape the Cold White, so you should at least learn to enjoy it.
