60 Minutes's 35th Anniversary: Sunday May 18

Just wanted to give a heads-up: This Sunday’s 60 Minutes will be a two-hour special commemorating the show’s 35th anniversary, with clips from some of the most “unforgettable” segments they’ve done, from Timothy McVeigh to Katherine Hepburn to the Shah of Iran. It should be fasinating.

I just saw the entire 60 Minutes gang on Larry King Live, sharing stories and some old clips; it was good stuff, such as the moment (never shown) when a huge light toppled over right next to Hillary Clinton and Bill grabbed her and whisked her to safety before anyone knew what was happening.

It’ll from 7 - 9 p.m. Eastern time this Sunday; here’s more info if anyone wants it:

I plan to tape it; I grew up watching 60 Minutes with my folks and can’t wait to see some of the resurrected footage.

Ahem.

“Fascinating.”

Dangit.

I’ve seen the tape of the light falling. It is behind them and he just grabs her, not really saving her. Bill had just said "if I’m lying about that, I hope to be struck by lightning)

Are they going to show the clip where Dan Rather goes barging into the Doctor’s office and wrongfully acuses him of fraud? He sued and Rather had to go to court to testify.

I have lost a lot of respect for that show.
