Double stories on "60 Minutes"

For many years – for many, many years – for decades – 60 Minutes had a routine: story, commercial, story, commercial, story, commercial, Andy fucking Rooney.

Now, they’ll often run one story over two of the story segments.

Most of the stories that they devote the extra time do not need the extra time. (The one tonight on gambling by an NBA ref is the one that pushed me over the edge.)

Is it the death of Don Hewitt that has led to the decline in standards at 60 Minutes?

No, it always was self indulgent pap.

Well, you asked.
