7.7kg German Rabbit

7.7kg, 1m tall Rabbit.

I want one.

We’re going to need a bigger carrot.

Unfortunately its likely lots of other do too, but, their size means that looking after one will be demanding and expensive, and they will be expensive to purchase.

There is also a danger they might beome the next pet fashion, and the animal welfare agencies will end up with all the fall out.

Harvey? Is that you?

Not me, that thing is frightening. I have a weird fear of things larger than they “normally” should be. That’s too big to be a bunny, hence I fear it.

I totally want one! Heck, you could throw a saddle on him and ride him home.

“Who’s a cute widdle bunny, then…”
chomp
“Aaaghh! My finger!”

He’s. So. Cute!

gah. Must get giant bunny…

That is just so appropriate to your name, it is nearly beyond words.

Jim

Deputy at a drive-in speaking through a bullhorn:

“Attention, there’s a horde of killer rabbits headed this way!”

[Elmer Fudd] Heeere, wabbit, wabbit! Heeere, wabbit…Oh, SHIT!! [/Elmer Fudd]

I’m a little wary of any attempt to breed a super race of German anything.

Gotta admit that the Uberlepus is cute, though.

German Rabbit = Hassenpfeiffer

Sort of brings a little more seriousness to the Monty Python and the Search for the Holy Grail scene doesn’t it…

1363kg German Rabbit

That’s no ordinary rabbit!

But that huge thing is only 7.7kg? Sounds rather light, that’s less than my Rat terrier.

And people laughed when then President Jimmy Carter talked about being attacked by a giant rabbit…

So, being a German rabbit, I guess we have to call it Hare Herman?

I enlarged the photo of the bunny on the link – and nearly jumped out of my skin. That’s one big bunny. The part of me that isn’t totally freaked wants to pet him.

I enlarged it too. Are you sure that’s not a kangaroo?

Woah, that takes the diminuitive out of Karninchen! (German for Rabbit- diminuitive by the “-chen”). I’m curious, what do they call them in German

I’ll just say ‘obvious Photoshop!’ to get it over and done with; actually, the version of this photo I saw last week did look fake; this one doesn’t, not so much, although I think we’re seeing some foreshortening here as a result of the rabbit being thrust toward the camera a bit.
