With Project Backstep, Time-Traveler Frank Parker (Jonathan LaPaglia) gan go back in time to “undo” whatever crisis caused a Natioal Disaster and save the day.
I forget…if he goes back in time, what happens to the Frank in the past?
I don’t remember any episodes where two Franks were around.
Was the “other” Frank…“disappeared”?
Damn, I thought this was going to be a thread about The Ring.
I THINK it was something along the lines of the ‘past’ version of him would automatically disappear when he backstepped, and if it wasn’t for the fact that he would often hide away from them in the compound, they could have known when a backstep happened by noticing that he was gone or had disappeared and was going to call them later from another location.
But what a show! I would love to watch it again, but as far as I know it is not available on DVD or VOD or anything…
This was addressed in the pilot when Frank was recruited after the event he was supposed to backstep to stop. Frank (1) disappears when Frank (2) comes back. They thought, at first, that he had escaped from the nuthouse.
By the way, there was an episode with two Franks. Some modifications by the science guy resulted in Frank splitting in two, (one good, one evil, of course). Good Frank was killed, but when evil Frank had to backstep, hesplit in two, one evil and one good.
