Hi. Back in the early 70’s I listened to country music stations. There was a song in which the singer had to make his guitar sound like different instruments. I believe that included a banjo and maybe even an old trombone, among other instruments. I cannot recall the singer or the name of the song. Any ideas? Thanks!

Here is an example of a possibly older song that has the artist using his instrument to imitate other instruments (mostly the guitars of other players) but also ships and vehicles:
