Got it. I don’t really know much about her (not an Alias fan). I thought she looked great, just a little more busty than I remembered. Ah…the joys of breastfeeding.
That would be far more amusing. "Bring out yer Dead! clang <picture>Richard Pryor</picture> "Bring out yer dead! clang <picture> etc.
Should I feel bad that I had no idea who most of those people were? And why did Will Smith gets introduced with the MIB theme?
I think the memorial montage is only for those who died during 2005. And while I was paying attention to the amount of applause each person received, it does seem rude to applaud more enthusiastically for one person over another.
Best Foreign Language Film:
Tsotsi
Huh.
I am an idiot. JG had a girl, Violet Anne, in December. What-EVah.
Who else thinks that they should not let us hear the audience clap during the Calvacade of the Dead? It ends up being a popularity contest of a sort. Not that the whole show isn’t that.
IMDB is giving all the winners on its front page as they’re announced.
Best Foreign Film: Tsotse! Gotta catch it.
Possible slogan for the manufacturer: "Coca-Cola- more brands than the Oscars have montages.
In the movie is it supposed to be the worst ‘song’ ever written? If so, then I can kind of see it…
Is it bad that I really like looking at Ziyi Zhang?
I’ve never actually seen one of his films.
And I’m not going to start now. Yech.
Martin Scorsese, zero Oscars. 3-6 Mafia: one
Yeah.
Best Film Editing:
Crash
I’m glad it got something. Zhang Ziyi is lovely and her dress was very sparkly. For someone who barely speaks English, she did a better job than Lauren Bacall.
OK, that was uncalled for. Sorry.
Huh. Zhang Ziyi can speak English. She’s gonna be huger than she already is getting.
Gotta see Tsotsi. Most of my family is in South Africa now.
Amandla! Ngawetsu! Nkosi sikelel’ iAfrica!
Dewey Finn
Yes, I think it was disgraceful that Eddie Albert received considerable more applause than sound editor Robert “Buzz” Knudson. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0461702/
Time for Best Actor.
Only if you’re blocking my view.
Why no love for Bob Denver, he made a few movies.
Best Actor:
Philip Seymour Hoffman
Who’s surprised? Tough category this year, everyone was GREAT. Any one of them could have won it and it would have been fine.
Anyone catch what Joaquin Phoenix mouthed?
Here we go with the big awards–my picks, incredible Phillip Seymour Hoffman or sexy sexy David Straithairn; probable, Heath Ledger.
…aaaaand iiiiiit’s…
YAY PHILLIP!!!
Philip Seymour Hoffman! w00t!
No surprise there. I’ve seen Capote. He deserves it. It was much more than just mimicry.
This is the first time I’ve ever personally known someone nominated for an Oscar, and he won (for editing Crash)! Congratulations to Hughes Winborne! Couldn’t have happened to a nicer guy (or a better editor). I am so incredibly proud of him.
