8 limbed child born

Darn those non-working limbs. Talk about someone born for the multitasking generation. Type an email and text at the same time. Perform a mind-bending rendition of the Hokey-Pokey…the possibilities are numerous

I don’t get how the second body is so complete and yet headless. does it just… sort of peter out? It’s hard to tell in that photo.

i read about her today on cnn.com. i thing it is awesome that they flocked to her and considered her blessed to be born. really neat that people would go to her for blessings. most other places and peoples would run in horrour.

her parents are very realistic and are really, truely, parents; placing her health and well being over her “earning” potential as a carnival sideshow or religious shrine. just a shame they couldn’t be with her in hospital.

great parents, great and very cute kid. thankfully they are shining lights in the in the rather dim world of common sense.

Bwahahaha!

That’s the most tasteless and heartless statement that I have read and laughed out loud at on these boards in a long time! You should be ashamed. And BRAVO!

Ah, gotcha. light bulb flickers on

Isnt’ it just totally bizarre that she happened to be born on the day celebrating Vishnu?

I’m a little creeped out that they considered her to be blessed. Lucky for her that the deformity happened to make her resemble one of their gods. What if the parasitic twin had been composed of, say, an extra head, instead of extra arms and legs?

Like poor little Manar Maged, who was born in Egypt in 2004 with a second head attached to her skull. The extra head could blink and smile. They successfully removed it, but the little girl died about a year later.

(disturbing pic)

This may sound insensitive, but Hindus pray to a lot of beings that I would run from in horror if I saw them in the flesh.

actually…

Apparently her surgery is complete, and was a success:

ugh

and that is why this girl has good parents… some others would see her as a way out of poverty. considering what can happen to a “normal” girl in some places, this cutie is darn lucky she has the parents she does.

i hope the wee tyke does well.

looks like there is a hindi god for every conjoined combo…

Now she’s half off!

Window seat, or aisle?

They should give them to the parents to bury or cremate, after all they are the remains of their other child.

Sometimes when I read these descriptions of ancient gods, I can only conclude that ancient humans did lots of drugs.

…oh, child born. Thank god, I read something a little disturbing there at first…

Cute kid. I wonder if it’ll take her legs long to adjust into a normal position.

I think that calls for being strapped to the outside of the basket.

If I was a god, I’d probably sit around licking sacrificial butter all day, too. Especially if it was peanut butter.

Hindu, please. Hindi is the language.
