85 year old to climb Everest. With Dachshund.

Mary Woodbridge is an 85 year old English woman
who will be climbing Mount Everest with her Dachshund, Daisy.
So far the oldest person to make the summit was a 70 year old Japanese climber, in 2001.
Mary’s trip is set to start on March 4. Here’s her website

I think Mary’s dog is a con-dog. It don’t look like no dachshund to me. Careful Mary I think he is just Eurotrash.

Translated as: 85-year-old Englishwoman gets into trouble on big mountain, dies of hypothermia.

Meanwhile, sherpas feast on chilly dog.

(Sorry.)

No no…she’s training daily, I think she stands a fair chance of making it!

Chilly weiner dog?

Does the dog get oxygen?

Does anyone feel that this cheapens the efforts of Ed Hillary and Sherpa Tenzing?

That’s gonna be one cold pup. Poor little lamb, I’ll bet the DOG doesn’t want to climb Everest.

I like the fact she’s eschewing the regular routes because she’s “not really into this whole camping thing”.

“…Daisy and I will choose a direct route from the Base Camp to the Top.”

What a marvellous nation we are.

Looks perfectly feasible to me. A little grey-haired lady wouldn’t try to whoosh us, would she?

Impossible! I remember reading somewhere… that foreigners outside the US don’t know the meaning of satire. Especially the British, you have to be very careful how you speak to them as they take everything very literally. Kidding around in ol’ Englandland will get you beatdown!

And remember it’s a long haired Dachshund. No worries!
