Did not see that coming.
21 people in this year’s pool, and none of had Tarantino for the screenplay. Neat.
Yay! Ang Lee wins!
True dat, but all I could think of was this comedy sketch.
Whoa - Ang Lee! I guess he does get the credit for filming an “unfilmable” book.
Okay now, Ang Lee, apologize for the Hulk movie.
A couple of thoughts…
Not a Babs fan, but I enjoyed the TWWW segment. Did not know that Carlo Rimbaldi died.
Jeffery Katzenberg won the Humanitarian Award? The man who launched a million f-bombs? Jeffery Katzenberg? WTF? Surprised he didn’t show up with a Diet Coke.
Speilberg wasn’t robbed, but he wasn’t really happy, was he? I might be wrong, but it seems as if Pi has the numerical lead as of now…
He’s much better these days. I deleted him from my Death Pool list years ago.
Yes! Lee won!
There is a God!
He seemed to smile when Ang Lee won. I didn’t see anything wrong.
Interesting that Ang Lee has two Best Director Oscars, but no Best Pictures to his name (assuming that Life of Pi doesn’t pull an upset).
Well, in fairness he was ROBBED!
Sorry. Just had to say that, even if its a cliche. ![]()
Ha, yes, I realize this. I just needed to make a swipe at how rubbery and creepy Jane Fonda is looking these days. That woman is one more snip and tuck away from being the cat lady.
I don’t want tiny little women in my Bailey’s, even if they are pretty.
These Samsung commercials are really annoying. Making me embarrassed by my Galaxy Tab.
The Bailey’s commercial was cool though.

I’m sure it really made someone’s Rule 37 day though.
Can they just cut the Best Actor category, and hand DDL the Oscar in his seat?
So glad Ang Lee won for Life of Pi. It was definitely the most moving film I saw this year.
Jean, you could have shaved for me.
Comedy (+ tragidy) winner = Life Is Beautiful.
Don’t worry, I was expecting it :D.
And an additional trivia bit: he didn’t win on his third nomination, for Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, but there was also a picture/director split that year.
