Baby! Beautiful baby!! Yay for a swift delivery and a healthy mama/baby pair! Yay for an adorable big sister! Yay for a radiant TokyoWife! Yay for a happy TokyoPlayer! Yay!!
I’d yay some more, but it’s hard to see the keyboard through this, uh, sudden indoor dust storm. I’ll just slip off to, uh, wipe this dust out of my eyes.
My brother’s name! You even spelled it “right”! He’s such a handsome little boy, and the pictures with Anya are just precious. Congratulations to you and your lovely wife!
Beautiful baby. Beautiful family. I still think that smile on Daddy’s face pretty much says it all.
Congratulations, TokyoPlayer, and thanks for sharing them all with us. I’m so happy for all of you.
Anya is doing quite well as well. I was worried that she would really miss her mother, but she’s adapting quite nicely. Much like her father, she really likes babies in general, and she’s taken to Shawn right away. I think she’ll make a good older sister as well.
Of course, she probably doesn’t realize that we’re actually going to keep this kid, so we’ll see how it goes after he comes back.
Mrs. Map is about two weeks away from giving birth to our first child (also a boy). All good so far, but we’re understandably a bit nervous, so happy stories like yours are very welcome nowadays.
Thanks everyone! We’re home now (they stay longer here in Japan). Being in the hospital for several days gave my wife some more rest.
We’ll see how Anya handles the competition! She’s been really close to me while mommy has been in the hospital, wanting me to do everything with her. She has been really good, and not as upset about her mother being gone as what I was afraid.
