A Blackhawk woke me this morning. Obama's in Ireland

Now, if he gets into a fight, he’ll truly be Oirish.

/i keed.

What’s up with this speech from the Taois… Toeais… the Irish PM? He’s ranting and raving like a madman!

He’s about to give his speech in Dublin.

He’s just excited, that’s all.

And Obama just ballsed up that seanfhocail.

He is tearing it up. The man is a natural speechificator.

Thanks for the link. I had to log on to check it out.

(I love the internet!)

Is Féidir Linn(Yes we can)

Pretty strong end.

Obama will always have somewhere to holiday and be the toast of the town.

Not “Yes we are a Berliner”?

I’m disappointed.

I’d love to know who was on the phone.

“Yeah, this is President Obama. S’up?”

That was great.

Good oldschool back of the cart Irish speechifying.

I’m no fan of Kenny or his party but I thought he was great and I suspect the majority of Irish would agree with me.

Ah, you’ll be one of the Moneygall O’Bamas, to be sure!</stereotype>

(I really thought you were making some sort of joke with “Moneygall,” but apparently not!)

Here’s the video.

“The President pays his bartender.”

Can you explain this to me? Who are the guys with the anime hair, and why would Obama kneecap them with a shillelagh?

Actually, scratch that last bit - I can’t imagine anyone not wanting to beat those guys with a stick.

So he’s doing better than Queen Elizabeth II. (According to Wait Wait… Don’t Tell Me! (American comedy/news quiz radio program), she declined the pint of Guinness that was offered to her at the brewery last week.)

Didn’t Clinton leave without paying once. By accident of course, he expected someone to pay the tab.

I got to spend a long afternoon with the Geezer Brigade of my family yesterday at a funeral home. So, I brought up “Obama’s in Ireland searching his roots”.

The Irish Catholics Republican possibly birthers were so annoyed by this " stunt" that a bee went up all their collected arseholes.
So, naturally, I brought it up to all the geezers as they settled in.
Good times.

He was given a hurleyas a present by our Taoiseach, that’s the “shillelagh”. The twins are Jedwardwho sang at his welcoming concert in Dublin, for some reason.

Sounds marvellous. I saw Clinton speak in College Green in 1995 (the day I lost my job - had nothing better to do that afternoon).

Contrast with GWB’s visit in 2004.

<insert O’Bama joke here>

It’s been done.
