A bra that can be turned into a shopping bag

Apparently, the Japanese think it’s a good idea for women to remove their bras at the checkout stand… http://journals.aol.com/aolvideo/AOLVideoBlog/entries/2006/11/09/its-a-bra-its-a-bag/521

Speaking as a British male, I have to say it sounds like a good idea to me, too.

Hmmm, the guys will love this!
I would NOT do this myself.

To many men, a bra is a shopping bag.

I see it pays to stay abreast of current developments…

I have to say: Not just the Japanese.

We should always endeavor to stay abreast of such.

I didn’t think the average Japanese women had … large shopping bags.

Watch the video. The material for the bag acts as padding in the bra, so it actually works much better for small-chested women. In the (approximate) words of the announcer, one of the questions is whether there’s enough room left in the bra for women with larger assets.

Why, if there weren’t, then there might be uncomfortable bulging. Let’s hope that some journalistic inquiry was devoted to the possibility.

Aww. Linky no worky.

Wow, they sure took that down fast!

Here are two more links, though they are different from the original one.

This one is from a news cast http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7XSj0YADX9M

This one shows how the bra is changed into a bag but doesn’t have a voice-over http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Qh5bNwwZXA

This appears to be a direct link to the original video in the Op:

If your bra is big enough to be used as a shopping sack, you probably should be leaving it on.

I did watch the video, interesting but impractical. Why not just encourage people to shop with canvas totes or the like?

If you can’t think of any reasons, I . . . well, sorry. Really sorry.

Once again we trail the Japanese in dual-use undergarment technology! Damn you Marion G. Robertson. Not since Ellie Mae Clampett perfected the double-barreled slingshot have we led in this field.

One canteloupe and a quart of milk, please.

I saw this in Japanese on the news the other night. Not a bad way of getting lots of publicity, create a product you’ll never actually market but have all the news shows carry the announcement.

Ah, the gold 'ole days when Tonight II would have shown the model using it. I miss “kantoku”.
