A Buffy / Angel game... for fans..

Since we seem to be without a quote to work with…
“Yesterday, my life’s like, 'Uh-oh, pop quiz!” Today it’s, “rain of toads.”

Harvest, Part 2. Xander is speaking to Willow as they both first come to terms with being Scoobies.

I can’t think of a verbatim quote right now, so let me turn it around a bit. In which episode did Giles and Spike make a reference to “Henry V”, and what did they say?

The Gift, Season 5

Giles: “Not exactly the St. Crispin’s Day speech, was it?”

Spike: “We few, we happy few, we band of buggered…”

And we’re still without a quote.

Whoa. Oooh. Thanks, that was a help. Unfortunately it was the last thing you’ll ever do.

On a guess- - -

Buffy to the vampire (name escapes me) in “Conversations With Dead People” - right before she stakes him?
if that goes I’ll put out…

Oh, as usual, dear

OK, the problem is I don’t know most of the episode titles. I know it’s said by Giles, in Season 4, when he discovers he actually owns the amulet or whatever doodad that the apocalypse demons need to end the world (again?), and he just forgot about it. The demons show up several moments later to womp him and take the amulet.

I want this game to go forever, so I’m staying with easy ones:
I’m Buffy, the vampire slayer. And you are …?

Ooh, just saw this one last night! It was an unnamed vampire to Buffy after she helped him out his grave to teach Dawn how to fight in “Lessons”

Is it Buffy to Kendra, when they first met? In… er… “what’s my line part 1?”

how about:
“I guess I’m starting to understand why there’s no ancient prophecy about a Chosen One . . and her friends.”

“I guess I’m starting to understand why there’s no ancient prophecy about a Chosen One . . and her friends.”

Buffy to the other Scoobies, in The Yoko Factor.

“Now, it’s been a long time since I’ve opened a vein, but I’ll do it you pull any more of this Van Helsing Jr. crap with me.”

No, I know this one. It’s from “Anne,” where Buffy perks up with this response to a nameless Hell demon after said demon has reduced her fellow captives to replying “I’m no one,” when asked who they are. Greatest moment of the episode.

Actual size.

“Actual size.”

Giles to the gang, translating the caption under the fear demon’s picture in “Fear Itself.”

And a slight nitpick from a previous submission, “Hey I’m not wearing underwear,” IIRC, was not audible in the ep itself but is on the soundtrack CD. I am certainly willing to stand corrected.

I re-assert my previous unanswered quote.

Angel to Denver in Are you now or have you ever been
Yeah, well, it’s a fairly dull tale. It needs a little sex, is my feeling. So sure enough: enter the girl.

Doyle to Angel in the 1st episode of Angel

Also, Once More With Feeling was on the other day and I distinctly heard the “underwear” line. But only because I was listening closely, as its very soft.
"Well, first I thought I’d stop everything and tell you my plan. Or better yet, why don’t I just show you? Ah, smell that fear. Makes the blood sweeter. You know who taught me that? "

^Love that episode. That would be Penn, Angel’s vicious protege menacing Kate in “Somnambulist.”

Easy one:
“Step away from the glass.”

[QUOTE]

Stand - - slightly – corrected it is barely audible…

I picked it up from the original episode – I had a mini-disc of the audio which I played quite a lot ( OK, so I’m sad… ) - months before the CD came out…

my sister spotted it - - and then I could hear it quite clearly…

I have no answer to the latest quote though

Worst coding EVER!

:smack:

Not to mention dash abuse! :stuck_out_tongue:

The first time we watched OMWF, my then-10 year old started cracking up for no apparent reason. We had to rewind it 3 or 4 times to hear what he had heard the first time - the underwear line. Each time, he devolved into progressively more hysterical laughter, while refusing to tell us what it was that he heard.

Oh, yeah. “His penis got diseases from a Shumash tribe” went over real well, too!

“Step away from the glass”

Wow, I know one! It’s Faith to Wes in ‘the one in Season 4 Angel where Wes breaks Faith out of prison…or vice-versa’…Salvage perhaps? She tells him to step away, because she’s moments away from shattering it with her feet.

Cool. Now it’s my turn? How about:

“Let’s fight that evil! Let’s kill something! Oh COME ON!”***

Spike, in S4, shortly after he’s realized he can hurt demons, to Xander and Willow who are watching TV. (I think the title of the ep is Doomed.)

This might be really easy:

–Cliffy

Willow to the world in Grave

“Back in the day I’d always get box seats. Or I’d just eat the people who had 'em.”

Angel to the gang in Waiting in the Wings, featuring perhaps the boniest cleavage ever (Charisma, honey, please have a sandwich).

“I’m probably the only girl in school who has the coroner’s office bookmarked as a favorite place.”
