It stumbled across this and it would make a good sticky or banner for the SDMB. I would summarize but it is short and to the point (someone put in their place for asking the gry question).
I had never heard of those cartoons before and they have a certain something that fits in well here (click on next to see more).
I’ve always believed that instead of trying to knock down the endless stream of clueless ignoramuses repeating the “gry” question, we should simply invent a new word ending in “gry” and use it until it enters the common vocabulary.
What a fluggry idea.

Of course, since you can’t search for 3-letter words, I can’t find the threads, but believe me, they’re there (of course, someone else will now take up and challenge and manually scan through six weeks of MPSIMS listings to find the threads).
That is a little strange. I have read an insane amount of threads going back to the wee days of the board and I often scare myself with what I remember being posted. I have not seen this one posted before so it must have slipped by a few times. I thought it would be really obscure but I suppose the day has come where nothing is around here.
I know I’ve seen it twfce before this, once specifically related to the -gry issue, and another posted by Eonwe about the comic in general.
