I have to wonder if the proliferation of crazy conspiracy theories, about all sorts of things, is an unfortunate byproduct of the internet, or are we just more aware of them because of the internet?
Certainly people have always done this, just look at the JFK assassination, but it does seem like there are a lot more crazy theories these days.
I think we should start our own hoax. Something like:
“Twinkies are made from a secret material found at area 51. It self-replicates and the only way to keep it from covering the planet is by eating it.”
In mid 2012 they found a way to stop the replication and in November 2012 Twinkie production was halted (under the guise of a Hostess bankruptcy). It’s been since discovered that it was still replicating in isolated pockets and had evolved resistance to the new defense. Thus production began again in July of 2013, this time being produced by Apollo Global Management and Metropoulos & Co, obvious CIA fronts.
Next time there’s a mass shooting – and there will be a next time – we may confidently expect denial/false-flag theories to sprout along the Intertubes the same day.
Np, just the opposite. The Obama Administration shipped the Sandy Hook victims, then still alive, to Benghazi to increase blood-letting for the Satanic rituals there.
Oh, yeah. What about giant sculptures of balloon animals? I’m sure noone ever thought of that, It’s definitely something I can see people paying millions of dollars for.
What’s worse is that the group basically brought a bunch of idiotic questions and ended by effectively saying: “If you answer these we just have a bunch more”.
