I’s a tahred bear! I have mowed etc. two yahds, and gotten a new modem ordered for OYKW. That was the problem, a fried modem. ATT wanted to charge him $140.00 for a new one but he politely declined to be charged. Well, me, bein’ him politely declined and explained that I (meanin’ he) could switch over to a competitor and have the service installed and up and runnin’ in a couple of hours for free. Needless to say, the newly ordered modem is free of charge. He (meaning I) was ever so polite about the whole thing. He (meaning I) was so sweet ants started showin’ up lookin’ for the sugar. I have also made up a lasagna for Sunday’s lunch. Folks are comin’ after church for lasagna, sallit and strawberry shortcake. I even made the cake. Ok, it’s from a mix, but it involved mixin’ stuff up and bakin’ so it counts. Now I am relaxatin’ and sippin’ upon a rum & coke. MMMMMMMM… Dindin shall involve the swipin’ of General Tso’s dindin cause that’s what I want, so OYKW will bring it when he gets off irk. Hey, I mowed his yahd and got him a brand new modem. My whims deserve to be catered to, they do! The modem will actually be sent to da cave cause, well, we all know who will get it all set up. Hint, it ain’t the Luddite known as OYKW.

I believe one shucks oysters and husks corn. But if you leave the innermost husk in place when you steam the corn, it’s mega yum, plus the silk seems to come off more easily.
Home. Tired. And can’t wait to see boss man’s reaction to his office on Monday. We blew up something over 130 balloons (we = 3 coworkers and I) then I tied them together in groups of 4, 5, or 6, then tied several groups together. Coworker Dave took each megagroup and fed the yarn over the suspended ceiling supports so that the entire area over boss man’s chair is covered in balloons. Then I took the last of the yarn and tied it from random balloons then brought all the strands together to a big clump of lines. Next, I tied the strands to his chair. I added a sign that said “Al’s Escape Pod” and coworker Dave downloaded a picture of the old man from “Up”
It looks great!! We even got the command photographer to come down and take pics of it. Unfortunately, I can’t share without going thru an annoyingly involved review process to make sure there is nothing classified in any of the pictures. So you’ll just have to imagine. But trust me, it’s great! People coming in thought they were helium balloons! I just hope they don’t get all limp and shrunken before Al comes in on Monday. No way we could have done it before he gets in unless we arrived at 5AM.
Other than that, my day was pretty much a waste. And it’s hot. I hope it rains tonight - we really need it. Not sure what we’ll do for supper.

Tomorrow morning is my son’s graduation. My baby…
In August, I’ll officially be an empty nester.
At any rate, it’ll be a busy day. We have to be downtown at 0730 hours, but grad doesn’t start until 0900. That evening, we’re taking him to one of his favorite restaurants and have already made the reservations.
I’m so glad it’s Friday, but it feel like my weekend will be very short.

Well, we spent 12 hours on the go today. Left the park at 8 and got back at 8. Went to 4 parks in the Dayton area plus a very nice nursery. It rained only while we were on the road, which was wonderful. It was a little bit too hot at the end, but they really have some lovely parks.
Now I’ve had a chicken pita and am pretty much ready for bed.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’ YAWN 'Tis 74 Amurrkin out with a predicted high once again of a hunnert. Good pool weather is all I can say.
I have some boneless chikin boobs marinatin’ in a lemon pepper marinade. They’ll get thrown on the grill for dindin. Also have a green sallit made up and will do some Friggin’ Good N.O.T.. An easy dindin after a day of toilin’ at the pool. JDD and Partner and another friend are comin’ over to hang out. Friend may bring a friend which is cool.
Yay for Taterson gradyooashun!
Now I seek more caffiene and should consider some brekkie.

Taters, congrats to you and the boy on graduation! We have our university graduation ceremonies next month, it is not always my favourite time of year - so far we have had a string of calls from parents demanding extra tickets for the Great Hall because it’s just wrong that each student is only allocated two tickets and they want, no need, to bring Great Aunt Maud along too…
It’s Caturday, I have done some laundry which is drying outside as it’s still sunny although there’s rain forecast today so I’ll bring it in when I go off to do errands. I’ve got a gammon joint soaking that will be crockpotted later so we can have it for dinner tonight.
This afternoon there will be errands, we have a holiday hotel to book, and train tickets for Friday as we’re off to York for a long weekend. I’m trying to decide whether I want a Centurion or a Viking, or both…
VWife and I are about to leave for the Amoland flea market. Mooooooooooom, I’ll honk and wave as we go by your place. Be ready…

Yesterday’s concert was great, it was kind of a pity that it was in an auditorium and therefore people felt mostly compelled to behave, because I seriously think we could have sang along with maybe every song but one. I could hear snatches of other people humming many times.
Have not killed mother. Trying to decide whether to let her install her ass in my flat for the first fifteen days of August like she wants to or find a great deal on tickets to Anctartica but there was only one left. I probably should do the second but will do the first, someone trout me.
