A computer service survey

I am kinda curious, especially from doper business owners and managers but others feel free to contribute.

How much would it be worth to you on a monthy or annual basis for a full service onsite repair package per machine (network counting as an additional machine).

24 hour tech availability, 4 hours max response time.

Anything goes wrong with a machine or your network we go in and fix it, parts included.

This is mainly targeted at small businesses with say a max of 10 machines on site. Larger networks would probably be a later expansion.

Just as a hypothetical number lets say $100 per month per machine, including any parts or labor needed for any repair to any part of the machine.

Too much, how about if we threw in a once a month backup of the systems in question?

Still too much, how about we replace/upgrade machines every 2 years.

I am kinda in some ways looking for a package to sell a business either with or without me providing the machines.

So as an example Would this seem reasonable:

Business X needs 5 general computers, networked.

For $600 a month (1 year minimum) I provide 5 machines and network hardware, setup, 100% of all maintenance, and monthly backups on all machines.

I could probably get away with basic Dell machines and probably get a bulk discount.

It maight feel a little steep but what I am trying to sell is more peace of mind. For a business of this size $7200 a year is probably a pretty good deal for a basic on call IT department including parts and labor for repair. Machine totally blows, we replace it, I can then part out the dead machine. With a little creative configuration I could probably have them built with a RAID minimizing the need for backups and recoverability of data.

What do ya think…or if you already have some similar service, how much are you paying? What services do you wish they offerede that you could use or that you would pay extra for?
