I don’t have any great ideas for this coming week, but I thought I’d start us out by showing you my prototypetree and asking other crafty mumpers to show off their work, too.

Anyways…I made it back to the US, Dad is doing much much much better and I am trying to unpack many multitude of boxes as all my stuff arrived on Friday from France. I have silverware and bowls but no plates yet!

Morning all, and happy day off to all you 'murricans!
Busy morning here and I have to go and buy a suit carrier for 'im indoors tonight on my way home. I am getting one of his suits dry-cleaned this week and I need to take it over to Belgium when I visit on Friday but I don’t want to squash it into my little suitcase so I thought a proper garment carrier would be a good idea. And it’s a good excuse for a bit of shopping before I have to go home and iron the trousers I also need to take over for him.
Domestic bliss, huh?

Swampy, it’s not the shopping for suitbags that’s exciting, it’s the fact that I have to go into a dept store that has fantastic shoes in order to look at the aforementioned suitbag. That’s the exciting bit!
gt, I’ll see what they’ve got while I’m there. Any particular colour? Does it need to be big enough to get a tree into? Or a canteloupe?
I see BooFae. The suitbag is just a front for shoe shoppin’. You go shoppin’ for the suitbag and a pair or two of shoes just happen to follow you home, right?
If a nice pair of shoes want to follow me home and keep the suitbag company, who am I to turn them down? Plus the shoe dept is right on the way to the luggage section, it would be rude not to stop and have a look, wouldn’t it?

One hour til quit o’clock…
I actually have some work to do, but it’s due, uh… in a month or so and my brain is currently refusing to work. My braincells are busy dreading going out. I want to go get the bed and sofa which are the only furniture I have left to buy for the flat; it’s “now or in September”, basically. But now is roasty toasy.
I am up and have eaten my oatmeal and I am part way through ingesting a GIANT cup of coffee so I can get up the energy to go unpack boxes.
I promised **mr ems **all boxes would be emptied when he gets back from work after lunch. Unpacking is taking lionger than I thought! I may come to regret that promise
Canteloupe-sized would be good, BooFae. Color doesn’t really matter, although I’d prefer not-black as my last two backpacks have been black.
It’s roasty here as well, Nava, although not as bad as out east and, I suspect, as where you are.

I made it from about 7:30-10:15 and completed my self-assigned task of getting all the items that were in small pots into the ground. Yay! Took a break every 1/2 hour to get water and crackers, though. Need to get to church to water, but I’m going to wait until there’s shade in the areas where I’ll be watering. Because, really: too too hot. It’s supposed to get back down into the mid '80s by the weekend. That’s sounding cool.
Am considering a nap before continuing with my productivity as I stayed up way too late. Again.

I used to sew my own clothes from scratch - I’d go into Fabric Bonanza (which no longer exists) and let the bolts of cloth inspire me. Now I have neither the time, inclination, nor functioning sewing machine
Hey! How did my puppy excursion get dragged into this???
I wish I could directly link video- we got to help socialize 9 8-week old Portuguese Water dogs on Saturday. They were adorable! Apparently Miss Sticky Buns conflated my two FB status updates- playing with puppies and my husband building me a workbench into me building Frankenpuppies. 
They’re really cute puppies.
