I don’t gamble at all but Keno is always playing in the sports bars so I idly watch. 80 numbers, they draw 20. Those 20 numbers can be grouped as low numbers (1 to 40) or high numbers (41 to 80).
When the results are in I notice that they are seldom evenly split between the groups (10 low and 10 high), they seem more often to favor one side or the other by a number or 2.
So what are the odds of each occurring: more low, more high (obviously those two are the same odds) or evenly split low and high?

True story: My dad was in a diner at the Hilton in Laughlin. He picked up a pamphlet entitled How To Win $100,000 Playing Keno as soon as he sat down at the table. He followed the directions in the pamphlet and played his first card. He won $100,000.
Normally he would pass the time playing keno as long as he was eating. This time he stopped gambling for the rest of the visit.
