A Festivus For The Rest of Us. A Grievence MMP

Meatloaf is baking, and got the Packers game on.

Glad you’re back and connected, red. and when I updated my kitchen whiteboard calender, the last few days of 2020 as simply marked as “That Which Shall not Be Named

RoxStar is a cuite, Moooommmmm.

Thank you. This was a sensible take on the matter, and I appreciate the straightforward perspective.

I also took a straightforward approach to dinner & let a local Asian joint fix my meal for me.

Big trash bin is at the curb, and filled with last-minute crud. I even cleaned up some clutter this morning before irk, and the litter box is now scooped. I do believe it’s time for chillage with a cuppa tea in front of Netflix and a smoke before bed.

Oh, I have a fun little tiny upcoming moment planned with a co-worker, who’s always got nice looking nails as opposed to chewed up and ragged like mine. She clued me into the inexpensive stick- or glue-on brand she wears, and I treated myself to a box today in a nice, short, rounded purple (not that weird pointy coffin-shape that got trendy & needs to go away.) She told me she’d put them on for me, since I’ve never done it & might glue one to my nose or something.

So we shall have a girly moment later this week when we’re both off (and I’ve had a chance to scrub off the chipping green lacquer I painted on for Xmas) which at least gives me a moment outside my head space later.

I asked if she wanted to come over & get a chance to get outta her house, or if she wanted me to come over & let me have a chance to get outta the house, and the final answer was … undecided.
I think maybe we both want out. Started negotiating via pets (she has a friendly dog, I have Monkey … and she has mentioned missing feline companionship) so perhaps we’ll flip for it. Or declare a thumb war.

Now I’m giggling over a purple-fingernail thumb war (she’s sporting a lavender shade these days) and clearly just need to go to bed.

G’night Mumpers. Catch you on the flip side e.g. tomorrow’s new thread.

Napped too late so may have a hard time getting to sleep and then a hard time getting up in the morning. Tis a circle of which I don’t wish to participate. I only irk tomorrow and Wednesday at irk as I am still teleworking on Tuesday and Thursday. My son and his girl and dog will be back on Thursday night. He is going to put a linen closet door up for me. I have not had a linen closet door in forever but now it’s bothering me. Also little things like switch plate covers that are missing in the master bedroom.

I have junk that needs to be dragged to the street and lots of hubs meds to get rid of. As time goes on sonny boy is going re-do my master bath and put in a nice soaking tub and re-do the other bath as well. All dependent on money. I shall have the business pay for it. As soon as it gets hot again the money will roll in. It’s rolling in now just not as much as summertime.

No one wants his clothes for sentimental reasons so I shall pack them up and donate to a church group who shall give to the needy. I am talking about very nice shirts and some new shorts with tags still attached. Tons of socks which I know are in much demand at homeless shelters. Hubs shirts are XL tall so may be hard to get rid of. I shall make a few calls tomorrow to see who can use these things. I have some medical equipment too but am reluctant to donate to the Salvation Army because they sell things. I want ppl to have it for free. Once his things are gone it frees up more space for my things which are too much. I shall purge my stuff too.

I just want to minimally have only what I need or use. I sent son and girl home with a gigantic cast iron skillet and a nice All Clad spaghetti pot last week. I just have too much stuff.

Knee is still giving me a fit and it’s better or I have just gotten used to it. I am still taking drugs for it. I shall find out this week if the insurance will approve the MRI and get it done soonest. Then I must decide what I am going to do to fix it. I am a little skeered of any surgical procedures at this time. Always something.

It’s another Festivus miracle!
