What happens if you engage in heavy physical anaerobic excercise such as lifting weights, but don’t alter your daily chaloric intake. You eat as much as you normally would which is at or below your Gender’s reccomended daily amount?
How soon before and/or after excercise should you consume things like protein/fat/carbs to get at least some benefit from the excercise?
If I excercise before bed, and then have a protein-rich breakfast (aprox 10 hours later) does the protein/fat etc get used to rebuild muscle?
Well, you’d still burn more calories than you otherwise would, say, sitting on the couch or whatnot, so if you didn’t alter your intake, you’d slowly lose weight.
I don’t know, but I’m told it should be within an hour or so, once you rehydrate and get rested up enough to allow blood to start flowing back to your core. Like I said, I dunno.
I don’t see why it wouldn’t. You have to repair the muscle somehow, and if you don’t eat immediately afterwards, then your body will simply use internal stores to repair itself.
