Owing to the massive dumping of snow we got over the weekend, we’re insanely busy at work. I’ve barely had time to breathe, though I found time in the few spare seconds between calls to bake a cake. 
Most of the roads have been plowed, but many of the sidewalks are still unable to be traversed without snowshoes or hip waders.
Thankfully it is a semi-short week, given that our company party begins around noon on Friday. Then I’m off 'til the following Thursday. Wee!
LiLi - Nutritious? Well, why not. I’m not fond of Jaffa cakes (or Pims or any of those sort of cookies) but I do loves me a Flake.
Oh, Lord. I just snorted. On the phone, I just snorted. The dealer and I were joking around, I laughed, and I snorted. I don’t snort! And yet there it was. A full-on, single-blast, Chrissy Snow SNORT.

I really should be studying for finals and finishing up my last papers but, I need to get some stuff from the bookstore. Best part of going to the same college as a bunch of your relatives is that they all want bookstore souvenir stuff for Christmas. One stop shopping! Whoo!

Snoooooow! It’s not heavy snow, but it’s been snowing since sometime after midnight and still is. There was about an inch of fresh snow on the ground when I came to work and it keeps on falling.
I know, I know, there are snow haters here. But I think it’s awesome. And the skiers especially think so. And it’s supposed to keep it up until tomorrow night or something like that. Apparently it’s about time for the usual annual Christmas Dump, so the timing is normal (you snow haters can enjoy it being refered to as a “dump”).
This morning was a bit nuts but things have settled down now. I don’t need to know how to do everything yet, but I still feel like I do. Darn perfectionism.

Mom I got this one in Greece in the summer of 2001, the last time I was there as an active-duty squid. I also can’t stand the ones with non-cotton headbands, and refuse to even buy them anymore.
swampy My head was fine Saturday morning and again Sunday morning. I took it easy for the rest of that night (Friday), and only had three beers the next night (Saturday).

I made rolls for tonight. I really do need to get back to work full-time. I cannot believe I made rolls. Well, they will be rolls when baked. Right now they’re rising. Oh and I made cheese crisps for a munchie. Maybe I am really meant to be a full-time Domestic God.
InnerStickler welcome. So did you do your shoppin’ in the discount bin at the bookstore? I remember back in the day having to always get certain 'tives Dawg related stuff from the UGA bookstore. Course sometimes I’d go to one of the local department stores and buy the exact same damn thing only for less than the waaaaaaaaay marked up stuff at the campus bookstore. I couldn’t help it. I’m cheap.
It’s still a morning MMP for me, the kids are off to school and skiffman is off with the skipper, and it’s only a little after 10:00! It’s cold in here though, and I just had a long chat with one of my son’s teachers, so I am going to have to get going in order to warm up and consider the teachers impressions. It’s a fine line to walk as a parent when my intelligent, amuzing and insightful child has difficulties in a class because of a minor learning disability. The teachers seem to want to push him, and I have to decide if I need to help push or if I need to stand up for him because he is truly having trouble.
My back is still a little twingy but much better than last week. I am sorry that rigs and Nava are suffering from colds, my nose has been stuffy and runny, and I am sneezing a lot, but I think it’s due to allergies rather than a cold.

Well, finals week is finally over for me (thank Og!), and I’m back at the parents’ house for Christmas break (though I’m hoping to spend a few of these days at Ali’s). I’ve actually had some time to work on Christmas presents for a couple friends of mine (I’m drawing portraits of them; I felt like being cheap about presents this year), and I’m proud of how they look so far.
Sadly, I can’t stick around. Got a dentist appointment in an hour. Oh, the excitement of getting poked repeatedly in the gums with a pointy metal stick… Can’t wait.
Oh, with all the Christmas sales there, it ended up being pretty cheap. They sell a bunch of jellies like hot pepper, port wine and quince which will make good gifts for my more adventurous relatives.

I’ve been busy today so I’m sorry to say that I haven’t been able to keep up with you all. Hope everyone’s monday is going well. Mine started out crappy with snow, ice, and about $50 worth of frozen lettuce. But it has gotten better since.
