A funny little picture re: breastfeeding

It made me laugh, thought I’d share:

That is funny! Y’know, I remember reading in, maybe Reader’s Digest, a story about a mom who had her infant son on a topless beach. Well, the mom turned her head for just a few seconds, until she heard a shriek a little ways down. She turned around just in time to see her son latch onto “the first evidence of lunch that he came across”.

Thanks. How sweet and hilarious! Makes me want another little single minded bundle.

That’s great!
My daughter tried to latch onto my husband and my brother.

According to my mum I did that once when I was a toddler.

My son latched onto my brother, who was a Marine at the time. You never heard such wailing (from the brother). He couldn’t break the suction, hehehe.

My mom likes to tell the story of my brother who was almost 2 (mom believed in nursing them until they wanted to stop). She had a long talk with him about not pestering her for a little nip while in church. He was doing fine until the priest said “Lord have mercy” He looked up at my mom and said “mommy nursey?” loud enough to attract some unwanted attention.

My brother’s 35 now. I’m not sure how much he likes hearing that story repeated but I heard it again just the other day. Mom was a fierce breastfeeding advocate way back when it wasn’t as accepted as bottle feeding.

That first picture cracks me up. I mean, look at that kid’s eyes! Is he zeroing in or what?

I just love the mom in the second photo. What an expression!

Our daughter latched on to my husband too. He learned not to hold her while wearing a tank top! (Especially since that chest hair makes such a nice grabhold!)

Loren’s latched onto my nipples on several occasions – including getting angry on some occasions when nothing came.
