This computer doesnt have any, sadly. And if i post a pic on the web, Discourse wont let me.
Discourse at least as implemented here doesn’t allow embedding graphics. It DOES however (usually) render links that are directly to the web address of a graphic in an accepted format, usually ending in .jpg or .jpeg, plus a few others.
Find an image online. Right click on it and select “Open image in new tab”. Copy the url of the page in that new tab and paste it on its own line in the SDMB reply box. There is no need to use any of the formatting options at the top of the box.

For obvious reasons, my trick is almost never going to work on websites that are actively selling their images like iStock.
During this brief recess, I have a minor question. What kind of images are favored here? Are there any types in particular? I have seen some instances elsewhere that favored current day political photos but I haven’t noticed that here?
So what kinds are preferred?
