A girl named John Corrado

In this thread, “Cassie” promises to name her baby, “boy or girl”, after whoever answers the question.

I have no particular comment to make about John C.'s answer; I just wanted to register my amusement at the possibility that in another six months there could be a baby girl named John Corrado [Smith] living in Portland, Oregon.

Lord knows how her parents are going to explain that one to her when she gets older…

actually, Corrado is a cute name for a girl.

Wellll… technically, Cassie could name the baby Jane or Joan or Joanne and still say she’s “named after” John C. Just like if the Master had answered the question, she could have named a baby girl Cecilia.

And John? As a veteran of hyperemesis gravidarium (a.k.a. Pregnancy Sickness From Hell), I thank you for not trotting out the “all in the head” theory. Come on over some time and I’ll make you a chocolate cheesecake.

Yeah, she could be “Auntie Junior” when she grows up!

Zap!

Woke up this morning, got myself a gun. . .

whoooooooooo

I’m all excited - i AM Cassie!! (I have the email to prove it when I initially emailed Uncle Cecil with the question.)

Unfortunately, it’s been a while since I initially asked the question, and I had a miscarriage. (I’m ok, though, not too upset now)

Morning sickness was HORRIBLE! I am not exactly looking forward to that one again, but at least now I have a name for the baby…

Corrado. Hm. I have a longgggg polish last name. Might work. (Poor kid.)

Cassie, AKA s.i.c

So, SIC, did you address your query to Cecil, or to Straight Dope? I could have understood Cecilia, easy.

I once met a girl named Johnette.

Johanna, folks, Johanna! This wasn’t a hard one.
