I also see a big ad that says, “Confessions of a Thai Minor Wife”. If I were a Thai lady, I wouldn’t settle for minor status! Full equality or nothing!
“Minor wives” are second wives, similar to what we call “mistresses,” but more formal. My father-in-law had one. Still a common practice.
