Working for Scrooge sucks. Yes, I’m currently sitting at work, waiting for some/any documents to work on that will most likely never come. Why? Because staff has to show up today, while the attorneys do not. Sure glad I’m low man on the totem pole and couldn’t get vacation time.

Regardless, I have a request for everyone. I’m flying home tonight to Kansas City to see the family. I have 24 hours, because I have to be back to work on the 26th. However, it looks like Indianapolis will be getting 3-6" of snow tonight, which will start a little after noon. My flight leaves at 4:00. So if everyone could send their well wishes/prayers/thoughts/vibes/etc. my way, I’d really appreciate it.

Well, rather than warm, snow-melting wishes, I’m thinking low-pressure, weather-sucking wishes to try and draw some of that snow north to Minnesota.

Every year we hear rumors that we’ll be let go early.

Every year, at 1:00 PM or so, we get the news that we can leave at 2:00 PM.

Every year I wonder why they can’t tell us this information earlier in the day.

It’s annoying.

Well, it’s a little after 1pm, and there’s nary a flurry to be seen over here by the Indy airport, Munch. I’ll think anti-precipitation thoughts for you, and wish you a happy visit home.

You can take comfort in the fact that so far every snowfall they’ve predicted for us this year hasn’t happened …
