Work was cancelled today due to snow and ice on the roads!

I slept an extra two hours, and now I’m up and have the whole day to do whatever I like. This rocks!

Items on the agenda include:

  • Watch old Star Trek the Next Generation episodes.
  • Call girlfriend at work and tell her how much fun I’m having at home.
  • Read.
  • Surf and download stuff.
  • Have a leisurely and relaxing lunch.
  • Take a nap.

Anything I’m forgetting?

I have nice Gore-Tex jackets and a fleece liner, a heavy Navy pea coat, Sorrel packboots, a Russian Navy ushanka, skis… and I live in Los Hideous!

Oh, for a snow day! To sit with a mug of hot chocolate and a good book while the snow falls gently or heavily outside! Seeing the snow rush toward the windscreen as I navigate the treacherous roads! The crunch of snow under my feet as I try to avoid slipping on patches of ice! Okay, there are downsides to snow; but they’re worth it!

I’d recommend not doing that.

And I have a snowday also (northern NY).
I woke up at noon.
