What would you do with a snowday?

So, in the greater Annapolis region, it is about to snow…

And as a teacher, I’m about to get the first snow day I’ve had since I was in school.
I’m so excited. Now, I’m sure that I won’t get tomorrow off, because weathermen lie, but, oh, all the things I could do with a snow day!

If you still got snow days like kids do, what would you do with it?

I’d wrap the holiday presents I’ve bought and get my house decorated.

Maybe I’d clean my home office. Then again, maybe not, as my husband would probably have a heart attack to see it in a clean state. I’d rather not lose him just before all these family-oriented events.

I’ve had this one planned for ages! Mulled cider, steamy bubble bath, and whatever I’m reading at the moment. But just my rotten luck, I took a vacation day last Wednesday and it snowed and everyone at work got sent home three hours early :frowning:

I still have high hopes for tomorrow, though! Come on snow!!

Lay around…read a book…sip hot chocolate…snuggle with my kitties and bunnies (and hubby if available).

Good God… I sound soooo wishy washy…

I’d pack my cameras, and a thermos (or 2) of coffee and head for the hills.

oh, not to forget the turky sandwiches and long underwear and about a dozen hand warmers.

Make a snowman. Have a snowball fight with my little brothers. Then curl up in front of the fire with a book, a cat or two, and a big mug of hot chocolate.

Too bad it seldom snows in Seattle

One word: Sledding.

What I always do: Ride around on my bicycle and laugh at all the people in cars with summer tires not going anywhere!

I’m in the middle of a snow day as we speak! I spent the day on Straightdope, called animal control about the neighbor’s dog , and wrapped some presents. The streets are so icy. There was a 5-car pileup near the county line earlier today, and my mom saw 2 wrecks going to Wal-Mart.

I would go make a snowman, too, but its so windy it would just be miserable being outside that long.

Shovel.

Stay inside and draw.

I would clean my F$%^%& apartment. Then I would either play my PS2 or take a hot bubble bath while reading a book.

I’d bundle up lieu lieu and take her outside for her first encounter after making sure there was plenty of film in the camera.

It has only snowed once here in the last 6 years so my chances are remote but:

I would sleep in  (Something I rarely get to do). Then I would take a long, hot bath instead of a rushed shower. I’d drink lots of fresh ground Colombian Supremo coffee, read a book, play with Pele & Pablo (my parakeets), write in my journal, and maybe watch a movie. Ahhh, that would be the Life.

I plan on sleeping in and then reading/internetting all day.

Sleep in, then go outside and build some snow goons.

Take the dog out… she was born in upstate New York and lived there the first threee years of her life, then she moved to Maryland. The snow there, while it does fall occasionally, is nothing like what she was usd to. She’d get so excited when we went out, but always ended up disappointed that she was taller than the drifts (she’s a lab/chow mix).

But she loves the mountains of northern Nevada.

One of these days, I want to try making a snowman on the balcony, but I’d need help, as even with a lot of snow, I doubt enough would pile up on the balcony and I’d need to rig up a bucket to transport snow up.

But normally. put on the radio or a CD and curl up (on my new couch!) with a book and the cat.
