We have adopted a minor celebrity!
Mrs. Guest, being the no-nonsense person that she is, had her mourning for Lord Nuzzles, said, “that’s enough, time to move on” and took Guestling in search of a new Cat.
We now have residing with us an all black male adult Feline. Stated age on the paperwork is 1 year 3½ months. He is on the Large side and quite solidly built and well made. (aside from the following)
Sir (hasn’t given his name yet) comes to us after being “Pet Of The Week” featured on a local newscast and in the local papers. Mrs. Guest didn’t know that at the time of choosing. Sir is also fresh out of recovery/therapy for a broken femur that required the permanent placement of a pin.
Sir is quite loving and well mannered and quite the family man as he has (after a few hours of adjustment to his new quarters) greeted Mrs. Guest and me with headbutts, purrs and belly. However, he has already attached himself to and claimed as his own, the Guestling. He has already shown a marked preference for Guestling for snuggles and laps and follows Guestling around the house everywhere he goes. He does NOT like it when Guestling showers at this time and is currently wandering between us, the bathroom door, which is open for him, and Guestling’s room. When he comes to us he meows LOUDLY his displeasure, and then goes to tell Guestling LOUDLY to get out of that damn contraption NOW, its getting him all wet!
