I was cleaning out my old old emails and came across something I had to share with y’all:
rosie, have you been spying on me when I email???
I have to chuckle rosie, I’ve received that e-mail many times.
therein lies the irony . . .
Happy Birthday Special Twins!!!
I’m exhausted, we drove up to the Cities today, hit Mall of America (were there for a whopping hour, lol), IKEA, Borders, and a couple other stores. It was fun but shopping all day tires me out, as well as a couple hours in the car. I think it will be bed time early to night.
Roo, you could always test out the pics and see if they work.

1970? 1970! :dubious: Outraged, insulted, horrified I tell you!
On a different note, I just enlisted my husband (who is back in my good graces…) to do something small and petty for me. I am generally not a petty person, but I am so annoyed at someone (who shall remain nameless to protect irritating) that I asked him to do this small, petty deed of chivalry.
He agreed. I am pleased. heh.
Hi everyone!
Continued hugs to those who need them.
And Happy Birthday to the Special Twins!!!
Yay on the romantic Valentine, tarra!
Forgot to tell Nava yesterday: what a weird deal about your predecessor/successor. Hope some of the new leads pan out.
I’ve been home since 5:30 or so (it’s 9ish now), relaxing, surfing, generally recovering from the week and figuring out how to get some stuff done (as well as some relaxing done) in spite of having to work part of the weekend. I’m thinking tomorrow is get stuff done in the morning and early afternoon, then relax and maybe get my book group book partly read. Sunday will be church and maybe brunch, work for a while, then more reading and getting stuff done. Monday (which is supposed to be a holiday) will be work in the morning and, if I’m really lucky pretty much nothing in the afternoon. (I’m not counting on it, though.)
Tired and gonna crawl into bed, I think…

No, I haven’t forgotten you. I will catch up by mornin’. Promise.
I’m terrible at
Scrabble, making up words like
“oxen-y”, for shame
Why? Disco is dead
I’d rather discuss something
Contemporary
Don’t get me started
I just got back from Vermont
Don’t you remember?
The Altima is now officially Not Mine. I sold it for $200 and the junkyard folks are picking it up tomorrow after Complicated Roommate takes out the head unit and speakers (they were gifts and won’t be junked).
I have a linguistics conference tomorrow. I don’t wanna go, but I get extra credit for going. Extra credit wins. Also I won’t have to be here to see my Nondescriptmobile get towed for the Very Last Time. It’s so depressing to see your car get towed.
Home, tired, and hurting. My dryer is on strike.

Roo, I got out at 8p.m. instead of 10p.m., does that count?
Happy Birthday Special Twins!!!
: waves bye to the Spazmobile :
I know some of you are under the impression that I just post here to post-pad, but I say nay! I really do pay attention sometimes. When I’m not chasing after floaters or distracted by cat threads I take the time to wonder about my fellow MMPers.
For instance, I notced we haven’t seen SnakesCatLady in quite awhile. Her last contribution to our Monday Morning Pandamonium wasback in early January.
And most recently she sounded like she had some real-life bad news stuff to deal with.
I know she probably won’t see this, but I’ll be sending her some good vibes from afar.
Whew! Back from my workout at the Y. Let’s see…I did two miles around the track, nearly a third of it at a run. I also did about 12 minutes on some kind of recumbent machine that has arm thingies and pedals with the setting on nine. My legs are going to be hurting tomorrow. I wanted to go for at least 20 minutes on the machine but my legs were really, really starting to complain. In all, my workout probably lasted about 50 minutes. I’ll do better on Monday.
I know the above doesn’t sound like much, but seeing as how I haven’t really done any form of exercise in months and months, this is a lot for me. On Monday, while at the Y, I stuck strictly to the track and ran/fast walked 16 laps. I’m trying to build up my stamina. I was feeling just slightly sick tonight when I stopped running to take a drink. I figured if I kept on, the nauseau would get worse and I’d puke on the floor. That would be embarrasing.
I have a bad habit of pushing myself beyond what I should when I first pick up exercising. So, although I will push myself further each time, I will not push myself to puking. I’ve done it far too often.
Anyway, I’m home and sweaty and need to get cleaned up to go out to a movie with our nephew, niece, and a friend.
On edit: Wow, I had no idea SCL was going through such a rough time. Good thoughts to her and her family.
McUNE, this was between rosie and VBob. They didn’t copy me on the e-mails. . . yet. I’m still waiting. :tap, tap, tap:
Because you wanted it to be 1960? 1950?. . . tell me when to stop.
beebs, your talent knows no bounds. I’m impressed.
doggio, you’re a hardworking dude. Be nice to Nelly; she didn’t mean it. . . it was an accident.* :sad doggy eyes:
*I’m just kidding. I know she has you wrapped around her little paw.

I haven’t been here much the last couple of days, but not too much has been happening.
I did go talk to the animal shelter about volunteering there and was informed that they have plenty of people who want to work with the dogs but they are desperately in need of somebody to help with the cats. And they are more than happy for me to come in and help with the cats. I am as much of a cat person as I am a dog person, so that’s fine by me. I made two new kitty friends today, both of them beautiful black cats – they have the black cats together in a very visible place to try to get them adopted, four of them in a nice big caged-off area. I assured them that the moment I can I will be more than happy to adopt one of the beautiful black kitties. They’re having an orientation class type thing next Saturday, so I will have to mention to my boss that I need that particular day off.
This doesn’t mean that I can’t go fuss over the pups as well, of course.
The only catch is that it’s about a mile outside of town and while the drive is pleasant, if it gets snowy I’m going to have problems getting there. But I’ll worry about that when it’s an issue; we seem to be having an warmish spell, though I’m told it’ll get cold and stuff again. As long as it waits until I can make my shopping pilgrimage Monday, that’s fine by me. And once I get going I can make my own schedule, and Og knows they understand not being able to get through the snow in a car like mine! I figured I’ll be out there for a day or two a week, but I don’t know yet.
I want a kitty so bad now. I think one of them was trying to pick me, and you cat people know how cats pick people.
if your email address was in your profile, I might be able to do something about it…
Hi, ya’ll…remember me? I’ve missed ya’ll but between work and the other dramas in my life …let’s just say I’ve been busy. I am going to try to start keeping up with the MMP again even if I don’t do anything else!
Work has been going well - I just had my end-of-training review and got a good one along with a raise. Yippee! That is the good news.
The Snakes have been playing like shit.
My husbands cousin, who is 6 days younger than he is and very close to him, was diagnosed with breast cancer 5 years ago. Being the kind of person she is, she elected to go the leaves and twigs holoistic treatment route. Needless to say it was not successful and the cancer has now spread to her liver, spleen and spine. The spinal tumors have caused paraysis of her legs. After a horrible few weeks at the local Hospic House she is not in an assisted living facility in North Georga.
Hugs to all who need them and kisses to all who want them - I promise to be back soon.

Big hugs to you and yours SCL. I hope this place works out better than the Hospice.
You see! You see?!
I have POWERS!
Did anyone doubt it?! Now use them for good and not evil and you’ll be fine.
