Ok, so I now have in my hands, Pride and Prejudice (not the Keira one–puleeesse! THE ONE-Colin Firth baby!), Bride and Prejudice or Prairie Home Companion DVDs.
What to watch tonight? I plan on watching and knitting and doing NOTHING.
I did not go to the store. I don’t care. So there. You effing go to the store. If it were up to me, I’d never go to the store again. ha! so there. Hazel--brother’s are a pain. I’m mad at mine at present. He doesn’t take school seriously–as in my children’s HS stuff. He thinks nothing of continuing to reschedule #1 son’s trip to Australia, again and again–forgetting that #1 son has ACTs, SATs, and 2 AP classes, 4 honors next year. Argh.
But I must confess that I don’t see how not wanting to hang out with lil bro=taking him for granted… Is this a Korean thing? Oh, wait–it must an Oriental thing! (and I don’t care what you say in those other threads–the rugs on my living room floor are still orientals!)
I feel somewhat better. TH went out for a walk. He asked if I wanted to go too. I’d love to go for a walk. Thing is, I have 3 10 year olds over here-I can’t just walk out the door! Men are stupid, no?
Dude who bought my car needs to get his ass over here with the tow truck. He was supposed to come here around 6 and it is now 6:30. I am HUNGRY and I want to toast my car’s memory with some Mexican food. Canna do so if dude hasn’t shown up yet.
On the good side, I got the speakers and head unit out. I had to tear up the back to get the speakers, but it doesn’t show in the dark.
Argh! After a full week of not having to drive in weather, and only a little snow midweek, we get dumped on the day I go back to work. I can’t call off, and I gotta go 35 miles in this, each way. At least it probably won’t be too bad getting there, but it will take a long time to get home. Maybe my supervisor will let me go home as soon as I get done counting the money, so I won’t have to stay 4 more hours to cashier. I doubt if we will have much business in this nasty white stuff anyway.
FCM, I got very, very lucky this year. In November, for the first time ever, I got a vaccination that did not hurt. I have always ended up with that punched in the arm feeling.
{{{rigs}}}. Appliance woes suck. Hope the grumpies go away soon. They’re not much fun.
Happy anniversary to the mousies!
I second this. Both were of some help to me last summer. Although our situations are very different, I understand that the feelings can be the same, so do what you need to do to care for yourself: find busywork, a quiet place to scream and cry, someone to vent to… {{{Taters}}}
{{{SCL}}} Rant away! We can take it! Caregivers always need some sort of outlet, so let us help.
Drive-by. Day 2 of a 3 day fire school has past, and the instructor has promised we’d be home tomorrow in time fo the race to start. No good stories so far.
Well, now that **SCL **has returned I’ll open up the map again .
Newbie requests only. I’m not moving you guys from 12 elm street to 30 elm street or anything like that. Any requests like that and you’re going in a lake.
Also, Rosie, I’m not ignoring you. PM me at a closer date. The only reason I am not leaping at the idea is because my schedule is so fawked up. I sleep most of the day and on and off weekends.
OK, I’ve caught up on the MMP for now…You guys move quickly.
Hey Beebs I don’t know if this qualifies me for lake status or not, since I’ve asked to be added already, but I’m in Somerville too–right down Highland on Cherry St.
Thanks Rosie and Swampy for the anniversary wishes. Hawkeyeop and I had a good time in Chinatown. And the other stuff we did…well, it isn’t discussion for the MMP.
Oh, and Rosie, Hawkeyeop is also excited that Pitchers and Catchers have reported. He’s counting down the days till there are spring training games with talk of PECOTA (really fancy baseball stats from baseball prospectus), fantasy baseball and other things baseball related. I’m going to go nuts!!
Welcome Back to Mumperland Snakey. RL can be rough sometimes, that’s why the internet was created.
This just in: Prairie Home Companion has some great music in it. And some mighty fine acting as well. A most enjoyable evening was had. Grumpies almost gone.
Slept most of today… I think MrBusGuy and I have the same crappy bug- sore throat, then racking cough with muscle aches, then fluid-filled head, now headache.
I’m ready to be better now, thank you very much.
Drawers filled with lots of clean undies is my current fantasy. I’ve become much too practical.
Update to the eHarmony thing. I emailed the ex to let him know that eHarmony thought we would be a good match and how funny I thought that was. He emailed me back a little update of his life, and that he was glad I hadn’t lost my sense of humor and didn’t hate him. I emailed him back again that of course I didn’t hate him, there’s no reason we can’t be friends. Then around 4 o’clock my friend decided that she wasn’t going to go to the game tonight and gave me her ticket. So I called up the ex and said hey wanna go to the game? We went and had a great time, and I’m happy to have a friend back. Thanks eHarmony for being stupid!
No worries doggie! I’m going to the game Tuesday, and I have a date for the one on Saturday. He’s a Caps fan driving down from DC that I met on OKCupid. (So I hope we beat the snot outta the Caps.) It’ll be the first time I’ve met him.
I hope you didn’t have to work too hard. I got an extra set of trading cards tonight. I’ll send them to you if you want!
