Woke up at 4 with a migraine. Managed to go back to bed until 8:20 and migraine was gone.

Mornin’ Y’all! All caffienatied and purtified for churchification here. It’s cloudy and warm out today. Gonna be a buncha rain later on. I plan to be in da cave all comfy and dry before that happens. I foresee a lazy afternoon.
Dindin last night was teh nummy if’n I do say so myself. Ok, ol’ y’all know who got credit for dessert cause he baked it, but the gumbo was set upon until it was all gone. I’m glad everyone liked it, but I was kinda hopin’ some would be left over for today. Oh well… happy and satisfied guests are worth havin’ no gumbo for today. I actually have the ingredients to make another batch but I think instead of gumbo I’ll make some jambalaya this afternoon, bein’ as I can use chicken, shrimp and sausage for that too. Well, in my version one can anyways. It’ll be like a weekend Cajun food fest! Plus I can eat on that some next week.
Ok, ol y’all know who is ready and we’re goin’ for some brekkies before gettin’ churchified.

Gotta go grocery shopping today too, although it won’t be a big one. Mostly just accompanying stuff! And tomorrow is a holiday so I don’t have to worry about going to bed early tonight.

I’m not completely awake. Was feeling kinda tired yesterday, so I spent the evening mostly watching movies (An Unfinished Life and Under the Tuscan Sun).
Haven’t caught up completely from yesterday. I’ll be back with more comments after I’ve checked off a few of my to-dos. Hugs to all in the meantime.

I’ve gotten started on ChoreFest (maybe it’ll be easier to stick to them if I think it’s a Fest, ya think??) I cleaned and refilled the critters’ water dish/reservoir. The vacuuming is done, **FCD ** cleaned the carpet spot (plus a new one that appeared this morning) and pulled the fridge out so I can do some serious cleaning. All the dirties are downstairs and laundry is started. I’ll be cleaining the counters and the fridge, and probably the floor between running downstairs and up with the laundry. I’m thinking some dusting might happen, too. I’ve also got some bills to pay, woo and hoo.
Yanno, it’s gonna take more than calling it a Fest to make it a Fest. Stoopit chores. I believe I put in a request for a wife, or a staff, or a staff of wives. Who’s responsible for fulfilling that request, hmmmm?? (she demands, as she taps her foot impatiently…)
Back to it, then.
Morning all. Er, yeah, Mr Cheerio’s girlfriend and I got pretty trashed last night. We also ate enough to feed a small country. It was nice having a girly get-together.

I’ve been thinking about my weekend getaway, and I’ve just about decided to wait until May. After doing some research I really really want to go to Key West, but going in the in-season is just way too expensive. Plus that gives me more time to get in shape for bikini season.
Holy Rip Van Winkle Batman! I slept almost 10 straight hours. Felt good though.
Made a BIG breakfast, and once it’s semi-digested, I’ll be off to the gym, than back here to do nothing worthwhile all day. Ok, really, I know I’ll get at this work I brought home, but then NOTHING. I swear.
**Haze ** - Key West is one of the Florida destinations that we still like, having stayed there twice. But don’t make your reservations yet - when we win the HGTV house in Islamorada, we’ll be having a Keys DopeFest!

I will be doing my spring cleaning next weekend. My friend is coming over next Saturday for a girly day of killing dust-bunnies and re-arranging furniture (why did I just get an urge to make mojitos to go with the cleaning?). This is related to my nasal problems - the ENT surgeon I saw last Thursday told me my problem isn’t with my sinuses but with my deviated septum, which causes my right nostril to block up much faster than normal, leading to blocked eustachian tubes! He also said, however, that I may have an allergy to dust-mites, so I definitely need to do a big clean-up, for my sake and for hubby and HRH. The dust-bunnies have been breeding like crazy over the last week or so, particularly with the dust/sand-storms we have been having since Friday! When can I get my housemaid???
Okay, off to wash up and get ready for bed. Nighty-night Mumpers!

It’s really tempting to just go in March, but I’d have to cancel two classes (since only one of my schools has a spring break) and I’d have to pay nearly double on most everything, from planefare to hotels. I don’t mind cheap vacations (with hostels and stuff) but from what I can gather Key West isn’t exactly Rome (where there are a lot of “nice” cheap hostels and there’s a ton of stuff to do on a budget) and I’d like to pamper myself for once.
Dotti, mojitos are a MUST with cleaning. Or any form of alcohol, for that matter.
On a side note, why are swim suits so pricey?
I couldn’t sleep last night–no idea why. When it was 0320 I just about gave up and thought about getting online, but I must have fallen asleep. I am off the library soon-I’m going to walk. It’s 52 outside!

Haze, it is really ugly, but it’s $2.2 Million worth of ugly. I figure we can have one helluva MumpFest, then I’ll take what I want (some of the art is cool) and sell the rest. Or maybe turn it into an ugly B&B?? I’ll let my people figure that out.
If you really want to make it more of a fest MOOOOOOM, do a chore, have a drink, do a chore, have a drink, lather, rinse, repeat til everything’s done or ya pass out. See, simple!
Ok, I’ve made jambalaya and have a pork roast slow cookin’ away that I shalt turneth into bbq once it’s done. I figure that oughta get the two of us through several meal type needs this week. Plus there’s soup and stew in little containers frozen in the freezer. Yeah, I know, we do not live together, still, feedin’ must occur.
Maybe I need a nap. It’s gettin’ all rainy like here and my sinuses hurt.
