WTF? Since when did using the word “foreign” make you a racist? I’m a U.S citizen, and I refer to Canadians as foreigners, and most of them are probably at least as white as I am. That doesn’t make me a racist.

The guy I work for insists on labeling EVERYBODY in a racist way (he IS a racist). It’s never, “This guy was an idiot”, it’s ALWAYS, “This (insert derogatory insult) guy was an idiot”.
Why did WV have to say “some foriegn SOB CEO”? Why indicate the nationality at all? If your boss is Canadian, do you say, “My Canadian boss says…” or do you say, “My boss says…”? Does it matter where he/she is from?
I want to add that I disagree with the troll lable. Just because a person’s knee jerks so hard that they give themselves concusions when they hear the words “abortion”, “muslim” and “liberal” does not make them a troll.
So I wouldn’t call WV Woman a troll. I’d call her simple-minded and selfish by virtue of the things that piss her off. When people are self-centered and have critical thinking problems it may seem as if they are being deliberately provocative-- hence the troll lable-- but sometimes they really are just that stupid.
After further review of WV Woman’s posts, it would seem that she may also have a reading comprehension problem. Either that or she doesn’t read the thread before she posts to it. A third option could be that she does read the thread, but her self-centeredness prevents her from acknowledging or understanding a viewpoint other than her own.
For example here in Justice: Let’s fingerprint all Middle Eastern visitors the thread goes on for two pages with posters arguing over the pros and cons of the effectiveness of fingerprinting visa applicants from selected countries. At the very end of the thread, she posts this:
It was as if two pages of debate were erased by the jingoism ringing in her head. That doesn’t make her a troll, just ignorant.

WV Woman, I’m not going to dissect your post and argue all the points. I’d just like to advise you to take a hint from the number of posts disagreeing with you. Please just consider for a moment that you may be reacting the wrong way to some things, and actually considering what other people say to be valuable information would be helpful to you.
The SDMB is loaded with some pretty bright people, conservative, liberal, anarchist, black, white, muslim, christian, atheist, old and young. There is no universal bias here, except perhaps against the ignorant. I can assure you that you’re not always correct, nobody is. Instead of treating this as an mass attack on your ideas that you have to defend yourself from, think of it as a learning experience, where you can discover how to change your thinking about things for the better. Instead of being UPSET about minimum wage, you can realize the opportunity it gives to people that can’t really work anywhere else. Sure, the pay sucks, but like someone above said, it’s better than a couple bucks a day for a mandatory 60-hour week. Same situation, different angle. Maybe you’re right about some things. Drunk drivers are bad (duh). And maybe you’ve been misinformed and you’re just plain wrong on a couple points. Everyone is wrong about some things some time. Accept that, and try to learn from it, to minimize your ignorance.
The SDMB is a great place to learn if you let it be. So I would strongly recommend you put down the shields for a second, accept that some of your opinions may be a little bit off, and try to read this thread with the goal of learning something. It’s way better that way.
