We could rename it “Wibble”. Wibble is a good, useful word that means whatever you want it to be- everything and nothing, if you will. Suits it rather well.
The fact it’s my favourite word is just a coincidence, I tells ya!

This post has beem so carefully thought out that there is absolutely nowhere else to move it (under the current but now obsolete nomenclative regime).

I like MPSIMS. When I talk to another Doper, I say Em-Pee-Sims, they know what I mean. It’s traditional.
I think the wit displayed in the original thread title that Opal spoke of deserves to live on.
And, yes, I think it’s a perfect description of most of the posts to that forum, which are indeed mundane, pointless and relentlessly shared.
Ya know, when something ain’t broke, don’t fix it.
It really is fine as is, it’s a part of our history, even.
No disrespect intended but “gallimaufry” sounds more like a condiment than a forum. 
I call it “Mipsims”.
I see MPSIMS and always tranlate it as “Mundane, Pointless Shit I Must Share”. It gives me a warm feeling when I see it.
I favor MPSIMS. It’s unique, easy and catchy.
