There have been some threads moved there from different forums lately with a mod note along the lines of “it’s not that we think your thread is pointless, this is just the forum where we put threads like this.”
It would keep the same abbreviation and gets rid of the negative connotation of “pointless.”

I agree. There are a bunch of old-timers who adamantly disagree, though, and they all outrank us.
I love mundane and pointless, even it really is momentous and profound.
One person’s momentous and profound is another’s mundane and pointless.

Maybe Profound Stuff I Must Share? That way, both bases are covered.
Misc. Personal covers it pretty well without making any subjective assessments about the subject matter. I actually think that’s a better name for it than what we have now, but either way, whatever.

Oldish-timer checking in. I like Misc. Personal Stuff I Must Share. Preserves the acronym but saves us from people having to say “this isn’t really mundane but my dog got run over by a car today” or whatever.
I started almost exactly this thread in ATMB a couple of years ago. FWIW I still think it’d be a good idea.
I read this as “outdrank” us, and was highly displeased to have been left out of that contest. I’m in favor of switching to “Miscellaneous Personal”, and if I must get plastered to show my support, then so be it.
Wait – if I get really drunk they’ll change the name?
