I wish I had a clever response to that. Too much pressure! I can’t think of a better name than Misc Personal Stuff I Must Share. Or Maybe Misc Personal Shit… I like to throw in gratuitous swear words at times.

I will make up some explanations, because I am bored and have nothing better to do:

1. Ed said so.

2. People might whine and after ten years of administrating this fucking message board we have no tolerance left for whining.

3. Nobody knows how to change the forum titles in the board software and frankly we don’t get paid enough to do a Google search for vBulletin help sites.

4. We think “Miscellaneous Personal Stuff I Must Share” sounds stupid.

5. We are not entertaining any more requests from users until you jerks start using the Barn House forum more.

Get’s rid of “pointless” from the title, and all the associated "Why did you close my thread for being too pointless? The forum title says pointless" whining.

Well we could revert to “Mindless Pointless Stuff I Must Share”. That’s what the forum was called originally IIRC. Anyway, not everything in MPSIMS is personal.

“Pointless” is ironic and self-effacing: I approve.

ETA: I guess Irishman’s suggestion is defensible. Though “Stuff” might substitute for “Things”.

I love “Mundane Pointless Stuff I Must Share.” I laughed out loud when I first read that forum title. A sad, yet poignant moment in my life for sure; but that mundane, pointless thing is something I just shared. Admittedly in the wrong forum, but I’ve just been been attacked by an ugly ripe tomato…
