A question about the webcomic Multiplex.

There’s been an ongoing storyline about how Jason is obsessed with the movie How To Train Your Dragon.

Jason is supposed to be a complete film snob. I’ve seen How To Train Your Dragon - to me it seemed like a well-made but ordinary animated feature.

So is the joke here that Jason has become obsessed with what’s actually a pretty mainstream movie? Or are there hidden depths to How To Train Your Dragon that I missed?

Well, Gordon McAlpin (the creator) really does love How to Train Your Dragon that much. Personally, I agree with you that while good it wasn’t as great as Jason/Gordon seem to think.

So while I think the only intended joke is the degree of Jason’s obsession with the movie, I don’t think you missed any hidden depths either.
