A name for this youtube comments meme?

One of my favorite memes is in youtube comments, where someone will say “X people…” and then go on to say something about how they didn’t get an idea related to the video, where X is the number of people who have “disliked it”. You usually see these as the highest rated comments, because they are funny… making fun of the small handful of people who disliked a popular video.

For example, let’s say there was a video of Picard saying “Number one, make it so” and 7 people had disliked it. One of these comments might say, “7 people didn’t make it so”.

Or perhaps there’s a clip from Star Wars where 13 people disliked the scene of Darth Vader force choking that commander. “Darth Vader found 13 people’s lack of faith… disturbing.”

These are just some crummy examples I’ve come up with off the top of my head, but I hope you know what I’m talking about. Any name for this meme? Any idea how/when it started?

Does anyone else like it?

“Lame, trite and boring” seems to be a nice catchall.

10000000 people got bored of this long before it was on every video ever.

Somehow 10000000 other people didn’t, because someone has to be “liking” those comments.

Hey, compared to the typical YouTube comment, those things are great literature.

But it doesn’t differentiate it from any other Youtube comment.
