And of course Patrick Adams is not only using the same ISP, but the same IP address.
Earlier on, I wondered if I was dealing with one scammer or a couple of them - looks like just one at the moment. This is further supported by Patrick’s claim that Mange and Dastardly are emailing him every day - they’re not - they’re emailing Mrs Johnson every day.
I might try emailing Mrs Johnson at Patrick’s email address and see if I can trick the scammer into replying in the wrong persona.

I gave up on this a few years ago, it got me too annoyed, but I reckon I got a few of the b/ggers lined up to send me humans for research.

Of course Ecks is not actually going to London, because I’m not going to London, and anyway, the scammer isn’t in London, he’s in Nigeria. What a coincidence then, that Ecks (who innocently thinks Patrick is in London) just happens to be travelling to Nigeria as part of next week’s itinerary! What will Patrick do next?
They’re not particularly good quality photos, but she looks not unlike Benazir Bhutto. Google Images comes up with this, which isn’t too far off the fictitious Mrs Johnson!

So he has a buddy in London. I’m not going to phone him though, so I think we’ve probably taken this one about as far as it can go. I’ll decide for definite later on, but I think I might just tell him that I know he’s a scammer working out of Nigeria.

Excellent scambaiting so far! I’ll give you full credit if you get a photo of the scammer, bonus points if he’s doing something silly.
Forgive my ignorance of the English legal system, but don’t solicitors handle pretty much civil matters, documents and such? This person says he’s involved in a murder case. Isn’t that for a barrister? Again, I’m an American, and only marginally aware of the British system. But I suspect this Nigerian is as well.
Mangetout, you, and through you we, have been having so much fun with this clown, I’ll be sorry to see this end. But it looks as if it’s winding down. Any chance he really has a confederate in London that you can set up to meet with the authorities? I would love to read about this in the paper under the headline DOPER DOES IN NIGERIAN SCAMMER IN BRILLIANT E-COUP.
