I had an idea for giving Zeke Clayton a little murder mystery of his own to figure out if we want to revisit Anderson’s Gulch early.
Lute, I’d love to visit the Gulch anytime! Just let me know when you would want to start. I wonder if Will Santini would be able to get in on it? I know he’s back from Iraq, but haven’t seen him around the boards.
NCB, let me get this straight. The Voss don’t care about the murder, but about the sacrilege committed with it’s organs? And is the simian really Kathy in disguise?
1- That’s what I’ve gathered from Corner’s posts about the Voss. Remember when that first Voss saw the murder scene?
2- Maybe. Could be a monkey. I just couldn’t leave M’Artel with all those Voss. He’s been warned. Maybe the monkey has some additional news?

It’s not hurricanes…it’s work. One guy took a couple of days off, so I got to do his job as well as mine.
That, plus my workload has increased that I can barely keep up, much less take care of what I need to take care of.
Ah well…I have a review coming up. I can bring this up then.
Hey, all. Just wanted to let everyone know that I’ve changed my email address to something more appropriate for my new name.
I don’t mean to diverge this story off into other realms but I can’t just do one of those cliche sci-fi things - i.e. "The scientist turns on the extra-dimensional communicator and “Hello, are you there?” is met in clear English with “We Are Here.”
I am condenscing as much as I can so that “our heroes” can find out that there are lifeforms in this realm and there can be a plausible means of developing communication. Then the Council can be shocked that Xol is using these creatures; or We can gain allies; or Xol can be shocked 'cause he didn’t even know there were people there, or etc. Whatever is evolves into.
I have a feeling that very little will shock either Council or Xol. They have been around a LONG time…
As for the others tho, that arc can continue even during Council’s Assembly. As long as we wrap up things pretty quick. Not cliche quick, but climax quick. Climax is almost here. Oh baby, yeah! Oh baby! Yeah! Oh Baby! YEAH!!! …

CC and NCB, I like both your posts. They worked well together. I can only imagine how difficult it would be in reality to try and open communication to a lifeform so different from ourselves.

Yeah, Xol is both Summoned and Council. Should be interesting.
One wonders what happened in those mere hours between M’Artel’s judging (?) and the opening of Council…

There aren’t any humans represented in the Council, are there? Will there be sometime?
The way Council addressed Victor at the end of FTSFSII makes me think not.
Or, maybe there is? A Pak Protector? Not of Earth Humans? Open, but continuity suggests no as of now. maybe they are grooming someone?
Still, there are 114 seats available for you to put someone in. (Xol, Open Mind, and the LGM/BEM that summoned the friendlies each have seats.)
I think the grroming idea is probably better. Even if it was a not from Earth human, our humans would have mentioned it.
