I recently had an idea for a new story, one which would center around John Kaval, a cadet from the end of the last story. It’s only been a couple of months since our Western ended, and there’s the Broadside story still going on, so I was concerned that it might be too soon. I’ll save my introductory post for later if we don’t have enough interest.
You know me Lute! Yes! Yes! Yes! I’ll be there! Your idea will give us a chance to create some new characters, while still having the others to draw on, if needed.
It’s all the fault of ivylass, really. Ever since she started that first Western story I’ve been hooked on these things.
Hello, my name is Baker. I…write continuing stoooories.
And anyone else out there reading this? Check out the links Lute gave, and read those stories, to get a feel for what we have done already. We always welcome new authors, all we ask is that we keep the continuity straight. Don’t want any DC type mixups!
Being that I’ve heard from the majority of the usual contributors, save one (hey, ivy, get in here!), I’ll go ahead and start.
I’m sure I speak for all five of us when I say, “Please join us!” I hope to keep characters from the three previous stories to a minimum, sort of like the Original Series of Star Trek and The Next Generation/Deep Space 9, which would help to avoid continuity problems. I hope we can keep the Star Trek references to a minimum as well.
With a name like that I’m figuring Kaval is human, right? Just checking, after all, the legal name of Worf’s son was Alexander Roshenko. And I promise that’s going to be my only Star Trek reference.
