Hadn’t thought about expanding the bar bit yet, I was waiting to see what someone else was gonna do.
I’ll be back here in about 4 or 5 hours, got to go rent some scaffolding for next week. And I’ll continue in the bar with the game. (it’s from an old SF story, I think it was Lester del Ray)
Lute, I’ll look forward to what is happening with the bug. I’ll be posting to the story later this afternoon, Brigid is going to arrive on the station.
Is the instigator of the uprising really alive or was “fingerprints” a figure of speech? Or both? I don’t know and anyone is welcome to fill in the answers.
Can someone refresh my memory on the physical characteristics of a Daestral, if they have already been given? I’m figuring that, becasuse of who the disguised Renallian must have been, they are comparable in abilities/size/whatever to humans, although they won’t necessarily look at all like them.
The only thing definite about Daestrals is that they don’t blanch easily so one can presume that they typically have a dark complexion. There is at least one teaching at the Sigma Theta academy.
The month of July was spent waiting for August since the company announced in July that layoffs would be August 1st.
I’m still here (there, where-ever) and now we are in new teams and getting our hands around new (and old) duties. The company is good, just needs to do what a business needs to do, and everyone is good peoples.
I was going to write about Kaval and the transport ship coming out of a one month time loop.
Corner, that was a great post but certainly not in an intended direction. I was implying that this was the Panil that had met with Minas Sulat, aka “sKova’sla”, aka “Rose(?)” and his charge is the recently “departed” Dr. Eleazar Fujisawa.
i want to play - but i’m too lazy to read the other 3 stories so i vote for starting a new one
we used to have a writers club and we wrote a bizarre round robin novel - part mystery part horror, part SF, part nonsense
it was major fun
“Not in an intended direction” is my speciality. I was 98.73% sure you were referring to Eleazar, so that’s good to hear. And I was just as sure the Panil was the one that met with sKova’sla. So, we’re on the same page there. My page is just written from right to left.
With that post I don’t think I’ve invalidated anything. My sub-intent was to explain how a missile could be fired at a shuttle and how the doc could escape being blown up. Just having him not-have-gotten-aboard sounded rather dull. My higher sub-intent was to pull in talk of that asteroid belt and the TALON war. And the main intent was to introduce a Dr. Mengela for fun.
I thought this could open the story to nefarious goings on studying crystals and teleportation, and provide anyone an opening to explain what that Talinisk Seal is. Is it an ancient symbol, the door to ancient treasures when there was a planet instead of asteroids? Is it a modern symbol on a door to a modern building destroyed when the planet was destroyed? Is it a seal having to do with “Tali”? Did their group hide an outpost on an asteroid? Is Geraldo Rivera going to open it?
